If we don’t sign a centre back next week , regardless of the Kane situation then surely no one can be defending levy!?
I get that transfer aren’t easy , however it’s been obvious since last season that we have needed a new centre back to start next to Romero and another to try and challenge to start.
I think we have something lined up and next week he gets announced and it’s going to shock a lot of people in a good way!

2 weeks away from our PL opener and 5 weeks away from the transfer window closing and we still need BARE MINIMUM one new top quality CB (but more realistically, two new CBs) and we need to figure out what is going to happen with Kane.

It is honestly unacceptable at this juncture how ENIC and Levy continue to run this football club, there is no excuse.

They are making Ange's already difficult job even more difficult.

Hojbjerg 27 + Reguilon 12 = Tapsoba 39.

Kane = Muani + half a second CB like Tosin.

Sanchez = the rest of the CB + more

Fuck sake Daniel. It’s not that difficult.
I’m usually opposed to such FM/FIFA based accounting where we take incoming transfer fees that are on multi-year payment plans and bonuses and act like they go 100% into our transfer budget.

But in this case I know we can spend £150m without selling a single player but just are choosing not to. So I agree with you.

Dier has been here long enough to deserve more credit from our fanbase. He was pretty decent season before last, what’s to say he can’t find form this season? He’s 29 and in his prime

approximately £30m for Hojbjerg and Reguillon would be a-ok with me. Getting those wages off the bill and we’d have zero excuse not to buy a CB. Ideally we could recoup around another £25m for Tanguy/Sanchez and use that to buy Tapsoba.

Yeah it’s taking a loss and yeah £55m could be £70m in a best case scenario with negotiation but fuck we are SIX senior players over the squad limit at the moment. We aren’t in a position to demand exorbitant fees.
