Thanks, sudoku. I understand now that the academy players are included, and it’s my view that this overstates the numbers as we need to focus on how well we’re managing the ins and outs for our first team squad.
I‘ve been far more concerned about the “outs” for this window as I think the deadwood is going to be an anchor around our throats until we clear it up. That said I think Ange needs to have the time to make decisions on who’s part of that list.
Once he has it though it will take some amount of ruthlessness from us to move players on.
I’d agree with that, but am also concerned with the need to plug the more obvious gaps as the intensity and ruthlessness of the Prem means we can’t afford to take anything for granted. I hope Levy will give himself time to balance the books, after Ange’s assessment, and continue shoring up the squad first.
