I would suggest Kane has an interest in winning trophies and being paid more than Levy has paid him for the past 5 years.

I think it is fair to say that Kane has been under payed for at least the last three years of that contract and as such is fully deserving of better remuneration.

I am in no way being critical of Harry Kane.

Levy does not pay world class players world class salaries.

He sells them.

It's cheaper for him and allows him to increase his own salary.

Levy is the most important man at Spurs.

I was with you right up until your last sentence. Levy doesn't take the money, the club does. You are advocating Kane screwing over the club because you, mistakenly, think that Levy is pocketing the money.

Cutting your nose off to spite your face springs to mind.
Harry Kane could never screw Spurs over even if he left for free.

He's been under payed, for at least three of the last five years, when compared to players at other clubs.

Rooney was on more than Kane at the arse end of his United career.

I want Kane to stay for one more year and for the supporters to launch a campaign to remove ENIC and replace them with owners who will pay Harry Kane a fortune to stay and bring in some talented team mates to assist him in pursuit of winning trophies in the years ahead.

You are here to defend Levy but hide behind 'the club' in your bent analogies of how you want to represent my point of view.

Levy is ENIC FC.

I am THFC.

So you think that the fans can engineer a significant enough campaign to force Levy out, force ENIC out of their $3.1 billion investment, bring in new owners, and give Kane a gigantic offer to essentially force him to stay with no reasonable short term success all in the span of less than 12 months.

:ange-facepalm:

Yes I do.

I think the supporters can make it uncomfortable for them and help them decide that selling up is the best option they have over time.

Passively allowing these leeches to destroy the club is the worst option.

22 years proves that.

This was ENIC's original 'investment'.

Come on, they haven‘t been able to muster protests of more than like 20-30 people at most so far. United fans have been protesting the Glazers for years. Ashley finally got out but only because someone finally hit the valuation he wanted. Season tickets still have a large backlog and revenues have still been strong. The only thing that would move ENIC out is a major league bid they couldn’t refuse.

United supporters formed a breakaway club didn't they?

Ashley is a good example.

Levy is the new Ashley.

And that's where your need to dig out posters comes to the fore.

I'm defending no one.

If Kane doesn't re-sign, then the best outcome for the club is to sell him and reinvest that money properly.

You're not THFC, that much is more than apparent, you're just anti ENIC.

I don't have a problem with anti ENIC, but putting that ahead of the best for the club is your ENTIRE modus operandi.

My posting history backs me up. Funnily enough, so does yours.

You don't have to pay Kane a fortune.

All Levy had to do was run the Football Club for the Football Club. It would have been as easy as that keep Kane.

You could have had all the concerts you want, American football, parties, whatever, as long as it was done to raise money for the club to progress and show ambition and challenge to win things. I honestly don't think it would really matter if we won or not as long as we gave it a bloody good go each year. Kane would have stayed.

So, Kane will most likely leave, for how much? Don't care as long as it gets spent wisely on players to fill key positions we desperately need, like x2 quality CB's.

Selling Kane is best for Levy; not Spurs.

The best outcome for the club that you claim to support would be for Harry Kane to stay and Daniel Levy and ENIC to sell the club to an entity that can persuade him to stay and bring in more players like Harry Kane.

That is a scenario that no genuine Spurs supporter reading this would argue against if it was presented to them as an option.

You want to take the money.

Some 'football' supporter you are.

The buy back rumour is exactly that.

Levy needs supporter approval to force this through.

Spurs stated publicly Kane was staying before the end of last season.

Under Levy and ENIC all Spurs players are for sale if the price is right.

The only person Levy wants to pay a huge salary to is himself.

Kane is a world class talent currently being under payed by a two bob shyster.

Levy will never pay Kane upwards of 400k per week.

Anyone believing that is on the table is deluded.
Oh yeah , you reckon Levy can’t pull this off , well what about the special relationship with Madrid

The defence rests , no not the one needing 2 new centre backs

You had me until this. Why assign Levy’s apparent ego to our poor transfer dealings and football structure when incompetence is so much more likely?
Changed it before I read your reply, I didn't feel right about it either as it was not quite true. Levy does get players the manager wants, but he also gets a lot he wants.

But his ego from the point of transfers, I feel that he needs to win all the time, the transfer is a battle whether we are buying a player or selling one and he has to win it. Much to the detriment of the squad and, as such, we get stuck with a lot of dead wood.

But this wasn't what I wanted to say.

Whereas I wanted to say something more along the lines of "Don't care as long as it gets spent wisely on players to fill key positions we desperately need, like x2 quality CB's.",

Selling Kane is a disaster for Levy

We feel the need, the need for speed.

This really struck me:

When asked who is the quickest at Tottenham over 100 meters, the Swede told Spurs Play: “I would say Destiny [Udogie]. I think he has the speed over the long run, I think me and him would be at the top.”

Kulusevski thinks he is second fastest in our squad!

What a dumb statement, once again displaying your pathological desire to attack posters rather than actually reading their posts.

The operative words in my post were 'IF he doesn't sign a new deal.'

Kane signing a bumper new deal is what we all want to see. There's absolutely no one on this site who's said that, given the option, they'd take the money rather than him re-signing.

It's only in your hate fuelled, deluded little World where anyone has.

You're a sad little man, who appears to spend all his time picking fights with any Spurs supporter that doesn't share in your little hate filled misery of a World, desperate to drown everyone else is your overflowing pool of bile.
