He's asking whether Spurs fans are confident of Vicario while Woolwich are linked to Raya, persumably because he wants people to shit on him. There's really no other reason to ask this question in this context.

Eh fair enough I didn't realize it was a direct reply to that, seems weird. Might just be a goalkeeper comparison attempt but does seem a little pointless.

Harry is as much to blame for his lack of silverware as anyone else. Not just the Madrid CL final, he's come up small in the biggest moments habitually.

Not to pile on, I love the guy, but this revisionist tosh about how the club has let down the brave and valiant Harry Kane (who threw a strop and tried to force a move to City, having given an interview stating as much before the season even ended, and then sulked about not getting his way for 6 months) is a bit much.

Super post. 100% correct, at least that Kane has had his chances. Plenty of them as well.

Too many posters have an agenda and it distorts reality..

So, a few things:
1) despite any failings and in specific huge games, Kane has been the best part of Spurs for many years now. He’s been a rock star amongst mostly karaoke level talent.

2) Kane does not fit Ange’s system at all. He is not a high pressing forward. Hasn’t been that in many years. Ange can adapt of course and I’m sure would happily do so if Harry stays.

3) Any Kane money should be additive to our transfer kitty. Fear this ends up a shell game and our net spend would be about the same regardless.

4) Need Kane resolved either way this week. Distraction on field and off.

5) Unsure of wisdom of a buyback. In 2-3 years, will it still make sense? Dunno.

6) so much deadwood to shift. Frustrating.

7) Can’t claim to know which CBs fit us best, but beyond Romero, all current are no more than spot players at best. Some are ok squad players, but most need an exit.

For all of the above, watching us play Ange’s system promises to be much more enjoyable, even if the results are not much different.

Must be losing it by the day, especially as he continues to wait for vital signings
Getting concerned that the clubs selling our top targets are going to refuse to deal because they can’t get in acceptable replacements.
I know it’s still a month to go but I’ll be fucked if I’m going to accept Lenglet again as a fallback. He might be vaguely acceptable in a three but not in a high-line back four.

He was returning from injury in the CL final to be fair to him and better clubs (like the ones you get in latter stages) are effective at isolating one of our few threats. I.e. kane.
