I haven't watched much or paid attention to VDV, so can't really comment on him. I think Tapsoba should be OK, he's good on the deck, he's reasonably quick and mobile and turns OK. Potentially very good for the system in possession as he's very comfortable on the ball. I think his weakness is he's not the most physically imposing CB. But then, you can't have it all.

Sure you can - prime Van Djik!

(Is he available?)

What's with the obvious shit stirring against a new signing?

I don’t agree with the bashing of him before he’s been given a proper chance either, however, perhaps the following reasons can somewhat explain it;

- He was obviously a second choice option because we didn’t want to pay up for our first choice target.
- Our woeful recruitment record.
- The fact that whilst he seems a good shot stopper, many who have seen him consistently will say he’s suspect both with his feet and in the air, the feet issue being a potentially massive problem considering our new managers play style, and adds weight to the theory that Vicario was merely a name plucked from Paratici’s list as a ‘Conte’ keeper, as opposed to being a keeper scouted for our current manager.

I stress once again, I’m not for the constant bashing of the guy, I’m just saying I can somewhat understand why some fans would be dubious…

Meant to comment on this the other day.

When you consider that Lenglet is also better in possession than both Davies and Dier too, this really is fucking damning of those two.

I really hate these shitty graphs with their cherry picked attributes. CB is one of those positions that the eye test is much more accurate for than statistics imo. Unless you’re a very accomplished analyst maybe. For example I really do think Faes is a clown.

But in this case it does seem to capture pretty clearly that those two aren’t particularly good on the ball or at stopping attacks. Which isn’t ideal.

Maybe, but he's here now, and as a keeper he has to have confidence, this shit is extremely unhelpful to all involved.

As much as I think we should probably sell and move on, if I am Levy right now I am telling Bayern Munich to go and get fucked. They are a pack of cunts and they have behaved atrociously.

So 85m tomorrow, 90m on Wedesnsday, and either Thursday or Friday this gets wrapped at 90m + add ons.

You pay players £200K pw to overcome specific attention.

You're also making a ridiculous statement. Kane has played most all of his Spurs career as one half of the all-time history PL goal scoring duo.

Who set up most of sons goals? Nullify kane and you do a half decent job of nullifying son also.

You think £200k a week in his bank account changes the fact that teams with some of the best defenders and midfielders in the world who are also getting paid similar money will target and focus on nullifying kanes threat?

It also doesn't guarantee that a player carrying the team for most of a season has a rare bad game.

Have you really thought this through and have you ever played football?

I suppose as one of the best paid chairmen in the premier league, Levy shouldn't be making mistakes when it matters either. Oh, wait?

First bit is patently false. Most of Son's goals did not involve Kane. Kane has assisted Son more than any player, but that is not an equivalent statement. Likewise, Son has assisted Kane more than any other player.

Kane has had more than the rare bad game. 3 goals in 13 semifinals and finals. And that extends to England duty - is Levy mismanaging the FA now too?

Yes, I've thought my position through. Clearly, you have not. Because all you have is "BuT LeVy Is BaD bAD bAd!"

Run along now.
