Bayern Munich are ready to smash their transfer record and bid £85million for Harry Kane.
Club executives Jan-Christian Dreesen and Marco Neppe flew into London for talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy on Monday.

Levy will want a bit more than what West Sham received for Rice......so I think the magic figure is 106 mill pounds.

Which you know ... not good for Eric, because Lenglet is pretty weak defensively. I think Lenglet is better in a 4 than Davies too ... I don't mind Ben (he's alright as a LCB in a 5 and OK as a defensive minded LB) but he's got his limitations.

Lenglet isn't totally awful at footie or anything. He can ping a ball and does make tackles. He's just plodding and incredibly underwhelming as a potential signing, as well as being on a good wage.

If we were to get Lenglet we would have to pay money for him. How much cheaper would he be compared to Van de Ven?

You may well be right. I’m so fatigued, so beaten and at such a low ebb it’s hard to argue. This is not a knee jerk though, the hatred of that man has steadily risen year on year and based on more and more objectivity. I’ve changed my mind on Lewis too - disgusting human being and I look forward to the day with jelly and ice cream. I’m done mon ami, broken and feeling utterly hopeless

Why would we even want Lenglet on a free, he was part of last seasons defensive calamity. We are looking to shift out the deadwood & rebuild for the future so what’s the point of bringing in below average players?
The worrying thing is, I think we are going to end up with him. He’s a typical Levy signing

Agree - i enjoy going to Spurs and looking forward to watching us play and it’s a good balance to a busy life and career. That’s why I’m annoyed, that’s slipping into complete apathy. Will change in a flash when Levy goes or the 84 year old. 23 year old beauty queen botherer is locked up or croaks it so not all hope is gone. Fuck off Levy and Lewis

U are missing the point or I am making it badly. Giving up 1.3M a year (5M fee paid over 3 years) is a smart move to save 10M in wages. Alternative is they loan him and pay part of his wages again (c.5M a year cost) like last season

No-one is paying 5M and matching his salary. It’s exactly the reason why we don’t move on players, their wages are higher than people are prepared to match especially when you seek a transfer fee
