If we go into this season without Kane and have Romero and Davies at CB we are in serious trouble imo.

We can't outscore every team mate, I am not one to be hyperbolic or panic but honestly I am genuinely concerned for us the way things currently stand.

Getting a new CB should not be dependent on selling Kane and it is imperative we get at least one top quality CB and it should have been done weeks ago.

We are quite literally going into the season unprepared yet again and Ange has one hand tied behind his back before a ball has been kicked.

It is really unacceptable, bordering on criminal how Levy and the owners are treating this football club and the supporters currently, they should not be getting away with it imo.
I dot trust him and Donna to buy well

I would love to see Ange walk away from this binfire before the season starts. Short term pain for long term gain. Start the season with Mason and tank into a relegation battle and everyone will open their eyes to what these speculative real estate chancers actually are
Believe me, Zomb , there are a handful of absolute fanatics who wouldn’t even open their eyes then.
The grass isn't always greener. Don't wanna do a Leeds. Scared of what the new owners might look like. Don't want nasty Arab bogeymen. Remember the 1920's..... etc. etc. etc.

I haven't watched much or paid attention to VDV, so can't really comment on him. I think Tapsoba should be OK, he's good on the deck, he's reasonably quick and mobile and turns OK. Potentially very good for the system in possession as he's very comfortable on the ball. I think his weakness is he's not the most physically imposing CB. But then, you can't have it all.
I think that'll come in time. I can remember VVD being schooled by Kane when he was at Soton, but then schooling Kane when he was at pool.

In CB years, he's late teens really, so still a lot of developing to do. His base appears to be pretty good though.

''In all honesty, it’s quite embarrassing to see that Spurs haven’t managed to sign a centre-back up until this point.

Not only are Spurs desperate for a centre-back, they needed to get one in as soon as possible.

Indeed, centre-backs need time to gel into a system and adapt to their manager’s tactics and their teammates’ style of play, but if anyone comes in now, they will be at an immediate disadvantage as they won’t be able to have a full pre-season with their new teammates.''

It's what I've been saying in posts over the past few weeks. It's why we should have had our CB (at least one) signed by now and playing in the next two friendly matches.

Apparently we're now after some Danish bloke that I've never heard of but no he doesn't play LCB.

''Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly competing with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool for Jesper Lindstrom.

According to Ekstra Bladet, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool are among the clubs who are interested in signing Jesper Lindstrom from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer transfer window.''

Lindstrom is your RW option.

I don't rate him.

Think a rotation of Solomon, Porro and Kulusevski is enough.

Far more pressing issues in the squad.

Fuck them

Didn't Daniel Levy some months ago talk about some reconstruction within the framework of the club and that he was stepping back from football related matters?

Who's driving the Kane negotiations and overseeing potential first team additions?

What a fucking waste of talent. In Champions League team of the season at Lyon, played Man City off the pitch, played well for France.

Bought by Tottenham then decides to retire. Honestly his talent thought we had got the new Modric, such an appalling mentality to waste such gifts.

He was the last Spurs signing I got properly excited for. First since van der Vaart too. Such a shame really.
