Why would he? We are a zillion miles off where he wants to be in teems of challenging for the title and going far in the CL.
The only way that Kane is going to sign an extension is if he doesn’t think he’s going to getter a better offer from a bigger club. That’s quite possible if Chelsea and United’s forward situation work out.
The talk about ‘progress’ is bullshit. He could, if he wanted, define what he means by progress and stipulate it in his contract. He won’t. This way, even if we’re 2nd at Christmas, he can say we haven’t made enough ‘progress’ if he gets a great offer from Bayern.

Hopefully this will help.

You can find just as many YouTube videos showing that he CAN do all those things you say he can't, as those that back up your claims.

See, this video doesn’t really change the perception of him at all. What is it, 90% sliding challenges or making interceptions on the run? Almost all of that defending is in space or on the run chasing attackers to the byline.

He’s got these long legs and he is definitely good in space due to his speed. No one’s denying that, least of all me, I’ve been consistent about his profile including those gifts. It also shows why he’s best suited for LCB in a Back 3 which is not what Ange plays.

But in small spaces he stands off more often than not and you’ll notice that it doesn’t show any of him tracking runners, being aerially dominant, etc.

Potential, sure. But people who think he’s going to come in and transform our defense are delusional.

More uninformed than delusional, shiny is better syndrome

Some guy on X watched him play against West Ham and compiled a "report", basically fast with good movement, he didn't score against West Ham though.

Never heard of this account before, he’s done a very good thorough job here though. I’ll give him a follow off the basis of this.

Might want to check out what he has to say about the rest of our targets especially the more polarizing ones like VdV for example.

Is VDV that polarising? I got the feeling he’s a signing a majority of the fanbase have wanted for a while.

Where football is broken is when chelsea are meant to be our rivals, have a smaller stadium and lower gameday income but can spend 30m multiple time for their farm team but we are deciding between a 30m project CB OR and older starting 11 CB.

The whole thesis of the stadium changing things has been blown out the water and Levy doesn't seem interested in adapting his plan to the reality.
Please stop using Chelsea as a comparison. They spent well beyond their means under RA, to the tune of £1.75Bn, then had it wiped out when lower league clubs are put into administration for a debt that amounts to less than a PL players annual salary.

Now they get bailed out by one of their "investors" who are effectively paying themselves when they buy their cast offs for massively inflated sums.

I might not be happy with our transfer dealings so far this window, but there's no way we can compete with Chelsea's spending when the deck is stacked.

Are the Saudi clubs beyond FFP rules?

Al Hilal 'submit £120.3M offer for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen' as the Saudi Pro League side 'try to lure the Nigerian striker to the Middle East with £1M-per-week wages'

  • Saudi Arbian side Al Hilal have reportedly made a huge offer for Victor Osimhen
  • Napoli have apparently been presented with a £120.3million bid for their striker
  • The Middle Eastern outfit have also offered a huge weekly wage to the star

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have reportedly made an astonishing £120.3million offer to Napoli for their star striker Victor Osimhen.
The Saudi Pro League side are continuing in their pursuit to bring the world's biggest talents to the Middle East and have apparently submitted the huge bid to the Serie A champions for Osimhen.
The proposal highlights Saudi Arabia's commitment to attracting top talents and comes days after Kylian Mbappe rejected a move to the club worth a potential £700m-a-year.
