How many times have you seen VDV or Veiga play?
A few tbf. I saw Van de Ven’s Wolfsburg get thumped 6-0 by Dortmund and saw them lose badly to Bayern in the video I posted. But once the first link popped up I saw him in Euro 2023 and he was extremely underwhelming.

Veiga only seen the match vs. Madrid but a lot of film/highlights and I’m relying on the scouting reports of people I trust a lot on him.

Likely.

For every Osimhen, you get a Batshuayi.

Hard to judge players in that league on goals alone. They've got to have something more. And naturally the next step after the Belgian league should typically be the French League or something similar.
Was Batshuayi that bad or mismanaged? If you add up all his PL minutes, it only adds up to 2278, yet he scored 15 goals and got 5 assists in that time.

In fact, if he scored at that same ave rate and he played the same amount of time as his best season in Belgium (3042 minutes), he would have only scored 1 goal less than he did there, so technically he pretty much carried over the same goal rate he had in Belgium to the PL.

FYI, if Orban scored at the same rate he did last season (he was only thgere 1/2 a season) for the same mins Batshuayi did in Belgium, he would have scored 16 more than Batshuayi did.

This time last year (or was it the year before?), we were all waxing lyrical about Wolfsburg’s other CB, Maxime LaCroix. That flush seems to have rather busted…..

For fucks fucking sake.

He was right there you utter twats.

He’s so much better than Van de Ven it’s not even funny.
I wouldn't get worked up.

Leipzig have been courting him since day 1 of the window. They knew city would go for Gvardiol so they had a contingency in place.

Called forward planning, something our board doesn't believe in too much. Everything is reactive instead of proactive.

Your comments are a bit premature then really, seen him what, about 6 times. Whose scouting reports?

Not really premature. Again you’ll see what I’m saying is backed up by stats over time as well. He is below 50th percentile in every single duel statistic, tackles, interceptions, any aerial duels etc. here’s a good scouting report I’ve read on him as well: Micky van de Ven Scout Report: How good is Liverpool's CB target?
You never mentioned the bloke before Thursday when you said he was more of a LCB in a back 3 than a partner for Romero in a back 4 and said he's shit in the air.
This exact description applies perfectly to Van de Ven as well, btw. He is a 4th percentile aerial statistics as per FBref. At 6’4” that’s appalling.

and Lukeba is significantly better on the ball, tackling, playing on the front foot, and passing.
Now he's the 2nd coming?

:ange-lips:
Yeah he is, he’s going to replace Gvardiol and will almost certainly be a £60m+ signing for a top club in a couple years.
