When i said I want to wind people up, it was to get them angry at Levy and ENIC. To try to instigate noise at games, the noise then turns to visual protests and, hopefully spirals.

The idiot you keep quoting, who is probably slagging me off, but is well and truly ignited, is just a general spammy WU. His only goal is to argue with people because that's his "personality"
He should have been banned a long time ago with the other one, who is also very well and truly ignored. They must have dirt on admin.

He'd rather mug someone off than actually sign a player of any use to anyone. For every Bale, there's hundreds of Bostocks and the likes.

This is very true.

It's hard to think of a player we have signed where the club didn't need to sell them or they didn't have a year left, release clause or the club wasn't in a financial mess.

He literally only signs distressed assets.

But we would be playing with 3 out of 4 of last season's defenders even if we had bought two CB's wouldn't we?
Our best defence would probably be.... Emerson - Romero - Tapsoba - Udogie.

So two from last season, the best two we had, but I rather think Ange will favour Porro at LB because he wants the team to focus on attack. Anyway from the 4 players that I listed. as long as it's not Dier. Davies, or Lenglet but someone new like Tapsoba, our defence looks to be healthier.

Regarding Perisic

''According to Gianluca di Marzio, the experienced Croatia international is willing to terminate the final 12 months of his £165,000-a-week contract in order to secure a dream return to his old employers, Hajduk Split.''
I guess we should do this given how big the squad is, but Perisic has looked very good in pre-season in what is more like his best position. Trying to make him play full back was criminal really.

I'm a born and bred British citizen.

My apologies

You’ve posted nothing but off topic nonsense today. Take the rest of the day off.

I can imagine Davies holding the LB position for a short time as Udogie can be a bit raw defending.

I think Porro and Udogie are the future as they have incredible talent but we need to have a stable defensive platform first

Add to that a 3-man midfield with players great at holding and distributing the ball I think we will be much better defensively overall, even if we are forced to play one of our poorer CB for a couple of games

I wouldn't mind him staying this season and leaving for a free next summer. Imo he has something significant to offer as a wide attacker for Ange.
I agree Perisic still has something to offer. His technique & delivery remain top class, and playing as a LW is physically easier than LWB.

But, he's on £165-180k per week (depending on who you believe), and that's a big chunk of salary for a player who will llikely be 3rd choice LW behind Son & Solomon.

Secondly, there are reports that his family are already looking at properties in Split. He will probably want to play there whilst he's still got plenty to offer. With his professional attitude & experience, I wouldn't be surprised if Perisic also wants to do his coaching badges to prepare for the next chapter of his football career.

Our Croatian members may know if Perisic has expressed any thoughts on life after retiring as a player.

I think he had a stint of playing as a wing back for Inter Milan, but he didn't seem to be very good at it in for us.Maybe he's a bit old for all the running that postions requires. You're right he has looked good playing as a left winger in the front three for the pre-season matches. I think Ange will usually start with Son there unless Kane leaves he might place Son in the CF position.

Not sure that's accurate. Not that I want to be seen defending him, but Romero, Porro, Hoijberg, they were all on longish contracts with clubs that didn't want to sell them. Must be more but I can't remember them all.

But there's no doubt at all Daniel fucking loves a transfer where he has the aces in his hand.
The fact this behaviour has repeatedly been detrimental to our club for 2 decades should make him the most hated man in Spurs history. Up there with Judas tbh.

Dreamland. Brentford and Man Utd are set up to exploit our defence when they get the ball. Our hope is that we are clinical in attack and convert the chances we create with our attacking play. I think we will need 3 goals to beat Brentford and maybe 4 to beat Utd because we are going to concede goals.

Our defence is a liability. We needed class defenders. We signed Madison. He's decent. We needed defenders, bloody good defenders above all else.
