We also needed a GK as Lloris was clearly losing it - so we bought a very highly rated one

No creativity in midfield - so we had to buy and bought best available, Maddison

Agree we need CB's, but do NOT agree defenders above these two - possibly equal - but not signing either of Maddison or Vicario to wait until CB's signed would have been cutting off nose to spite face.
He became very highly rated after we cheaped out on Raya. No one had heard of Vicario before we were linked.

Bild have claimed that Harry Kane could even give up part of his salary to make up the difference between Bayern Munich’s and Tottenham’s valuation of him.

The report reveals that Bayern are now ready to offer €85m (£73m) plus €10m (£8.5m) in bonuses for Kane but the amount is not enough to satisfy Tottenham.

What the hell? Would Kane really do that when he could just wait another season and get a signing pay deal from Bayern.
If he runs down the contract he will stay in England next season. Honestly moving to Bayern on his own accord would be moving for the sake of moving

Sounds more made up than religious nonsense

Thanks, that's what I thought. I don't give a fuck where the money goes. Just because there's a release clause doesn't mean a club won't lose out to a club paying more (not necessarily the opposite, either).

So, in short, if someone else comes in, we're probably not getting him.

No.... Unless the player concurs; any additional money bid is irrelevant. Even then any club bidding extra would be dumb..... They could use the same money as wages to sway the player instead.

Maybe this could help with CB search?

That is one less big buyer on the market for a LCB.

Can't see us doing business with City in a million years but at least we aren't having them pump prices up.

Only Liverpool left out there searching for a LCB but they are stuck into Lavia for 50m (ooo err matron) so not focused on LCB atm.

So Laporte needs to find another club.

I wonder if a certain London based club would appeal to him - I hear a LCB place is vacant !

A few options, including at CB which everyone is getting anxious about - Josip Sutalo at Dinamo Zagreb who Woolwich are also looking at.

From all the rumours he's one of about 5 or 6 CB's we might be looking at.

Really weird we haven't been linked to more CBs given the entire world knows how bad we need one.

It's basically been Tapsoba, VdV, and Tosin all window.

Really?

We had Lo Celso, but failed to use him and I think that Kulu is better off as an AM. We literally have a team full of attacking players going forward.

x2 CB, are the top priority of this season and we are just playing game and messing everyone around including Ange.

LB not so much of a problem as Destiny came back from his season long load after we brought him.

This is not the way to run a football club.

Could equally harm us because these kind of massive transfers usually trigger off a series of transfers, for instance RBL could go in for Lukeba, Lyon sign someone Wolfsburg/Leverkusen were targetting to replace VDV/Tapsoba and we are left waiting for them to source another target before we can pull the trigger. Hard to say what will happen.
It's why it's important to get things done quickly. A lesson that Levy hasn't learned.
