We are all traumatised Spurs fans.
Maybe, just maybe it has to do with yet another joke transfer window:

* No CB...well, might soon sign a 9yo kid who's played 6mins in the Champo
* The Kane saga
* Only got rid of one piece of deadwood in Winksy
* Signed a keep who we all know wasn't our first choice...but he was cheaper
* No fucking CB!

Come on, I'm desperately waiting for yet another brilliant and plausible explanation from you, Your Highness. Perhaps take your mask off before you do, LP 🇫🇷...you ain't fooling nobody with that Dudu pseudonym

I really like the idea of VDV as the starting LB and another quality CB being brought in to partner Romero.

Rate what I've seen of Udogie but don't want to chuck him into the deep end. Bed him in and I'm sure he will do very well.
He has more top flight experience than VDV. We need another seasoned centerback. I'm telling you we will get some left field Paratici P2P cook centerback out of Italy. Maybe Bongourno, Bremer,

Me no like 2 CBs trying to defend when we lose the ball in transition & both FBs (not WBs like Conte's system) are AWOL upfield.

Just think it makes a team too predictable when 90% attacks all start from one flank.

As I said in another thread; if Klopp can play balls-out attacking football without using a stay-at-home FB/wonky system then solutions can be found.

That’s an absolute mischaracterization of what happened in this deal.

Spurs offered to pay over the release clause early — that would be in line with the ‘just pay up’ that you generally bang on about. Venky’s moved the goalpost, asking for double the offer and 300% above the release clause. It’s hardly surprising that Spurs withdrew from that negotiation.
That kind of exaggeration is precisely why I can’t be bothered with the evangelical ENIC outers here.
Fair

If there is to be a Kane replacement then it clearly won't be a Kane-level replacement. It'll be someone much younger and much more raw and we'll just have to hope that Ange and the club choose wisely.
