He's not allowed to deals because of his worldwide ban for fraud.

Not directly doing the deals but as a consultant he can be helpful in many ways to make a deal happen using his worldwide contacts.

All you are saying is that Veliz has been given the opportunity and taken it with both hands to get experience.

But the Argentinian league is not that high a standard so the consensus is probably that he needs to spend 6 - 12 months on loan there so as to get much more experience there so the transition to PL is not so great.

FYI, Scarlett has played over 30 games in League 1 last season, probably closer to Argentinian League standard than PL (circa 50% of Veliz no of games over 2-3 seasons), so its not an unreasonable comparison.

Much closer than trying to compare Veliz to a more established player

And Scarlett will definitely need a 2nd (and maybe 3rd ) loan season before he joins the first team squad at Spurs, so he's a little behind Veliz in development,
Safe to say Veliz has done more with his time in Argentina than Scarlett did in League 1.

We all want Scarlett to come good but he needs to play football and score goals.

Veliz has done that.

Also looks like Veliz is more 9, where Scarlett is more 10 or even wing forward

Just watched Rosario vs Boca from earlier this year. Only one game, but looks like a player we should be happy to sign. Player comp would be a pre-injury Raul Jiminez... surprised how good his feet and passing are given what I read about him when the news broke last night.

Something something needs to bulk up something something

I don't hold with this 'give a player a few more years to develop' stuff. How often do they push on through?

At 19 we should really know enough about this kid, i'm not saying his game wont change throughout his career but I think it's rare that a 19 year old suddenly kicks on, sure it happens but reckon it's more common for them to remain at that level.

Kane was a baller and had the mental strength at 18/19 but he was lacking game time and the opportunities as he crossed-over, Defoe, Pav, Crouch and Bale to name a few. That's part of the reason for his loan. To Prove the theory...

This kid is either the real deal or he's not. Look at Sess 'he needs to bulk up a bit', Same with Gil... Oliver Skipp was smashing into players at 18/19... I think it's either in you or it's not.
