Fair, but if the alternative is wanking yourself to death and convincing the fanbase that this guy is a faster Jan Vertonghen, I’m not so sure my position is all that bad.

Fans tend to only look at the rosy positive side of transfers, and that leads to overrating players. Again, everyone thought Djed Spence was the second coming of Kyle Walker last summer and would solve all our issues at RB.

Don't worry, no danger of me doing this!

Some would call me a pessimist, I have also been known as a miserable fuck ...I don't know what they mean.

That's much been my view since the beginning of this exchange.

We could have had Tielemans on loan that Jan; which would have been perfect (an eager to impress Tielemans is a good player; a Tielemans who's subsequently granted a contract is a lazy man)..... Poch wasn't interested.
Is there a reliable source to say we could have had Tielemans on loan or is that supposition? And/or that Poch turned it down as an option when he knew Dembele was being sold to a Chinese club?
I’m struggling with google tbh

Probably........ 4 1/2 years deep on Twitter or TFC perhaps; but a trail is pretty easy to find:

Like you said; the final is done and "moot"; but with enough leg work...... I'm sure one can come up with a source more compelling than The Mirror.

So much smoke today..... Hoping for some fire tomorrow.
youre fired donald trump GIF

VdV joined Wolfsburg for 3 mill only two years ago. He hasn't really done anything special to now be valued at 40 mill. We are getting rinsed
Porro joined Sporting for 8m when they triggered to loan option. We bought him the next window — 4 months later — for 40m and most Spurs fans were screaming to get it done.

Overpaying leads to bloated squads and loan headaches but you’ve got to back the manager.

This had better be with the intention of signing both, it's too late in the day to still be pissing about with this will we/won't we scenario of weighing up which is our preferred move...

If I was a player I'd be pissed off being strung along like this too, I suppose vast sums of money could soften that blow but it would certainly dampen my enthusiasm for the move and that could potentially have a knock on affect on attitude going forward.
To dare is to do late

Football Fancast counts as a reliable source to you now? It's from NewsNow too, you've consistantly complained about me posting links from there.
