Doc, I’ve not watched anything of this kid, is he actually any good strengths weaknesses?
I didn't really watch much of them this year, but did skim through 5/6 games in Footballia.net to get the gist of him.

Ultimately would say hes a very promising player, and a good balance to what Romero offers. Crazy ball carrier, good and crisp passer without having immense passing range, recovery pace and ability to deal with balls down the channel are why I imagine we want him.. probably uniquely good at cleaning up a dangerous situation before it even has the chance to develop.

Not aggressive in the air, doesn't head away corner kicks, few little issues with jockying and engaging with a ball carrier, I think he's well worth signing to be honest. Good option for LB as well if we sign another CB. Like the idea of doing Emerson/Udogie and Porro/VdV if we had another cb meriting a start.

Does he fix our defence? I'm not sure what cb fixes a defence with Pedro Porro in it. I think he'll add a lot, his pace paired with Romero's agression could be a key to controlling games and dominating the ball. You'd definitely want to see him using his size to dominate aerial challenges more often as time passes.

Davinson and Rodon have been told to find new clubs. Dier hasn't.

More than one.

Real Sociedad the latest and strongest I think

They probably want him on a cheap loan deal or something. Do RS or any Spanish team outside the top 3 have £10m plus to spend on Reguillon? Id love to be wrong but I seriously doubt i am.
As I said earlier too no clubs were exactly breaking down the door to sign him last year either when he was in the scrap heap

I think they’re both willing to go. If I were Dav then I couldn’t get out quick enough. Dier has already made it clear he has no intention of leaving.

Rodon and Dav are current internationals. They need game-time to stay sharp and in the international picture. They are 25 and 27 respectively with probably two more contracts (in Rodon’s case the greater part of his pro career) in front of them. They want to play. We do have some leverage over them.
Dier’s international career is done. All he’s playing for is a (very much) reduced contract on a final go around. The difference in salary between what Spurs are paying him this season and signing a new contract probably represents a season’s salary on his next contract anyway and he’ll be able to negotiate a sign on fee. We have absolutely no leverage over him.
It could be that Dier is deluded enough to think he’s going to be a regular and Ange deluded enough to agree but, if I were to guess, I’d say that isn’t the case and we’re being forced to keep him around.

They're playing CL football this year so they have some spending money.

Neither Dier or Ange are deluded.
Dier is an excellent CB who is recovering from an operation (?) and is not fully fit.
When fit I expect him to feature in many games for THFC this season.
I expect him to do well as he normally does. If he does better than well there ain't many better English CBs than him so I would not be surprised if he returns to England duty.
He played for England in the World Cup.
And he is not for sale.
