What Argentine center forwards have even played in the PL in the last few seasons?

Let’s see I suppose but these sort of teams know we are desperate to get rid and they drag it on we will probably just loan him to them if they pay his wages. See Villarreal with GLC he has been on loan for them for the last 2 years why would they buy him when they are more or less getting him for nothing?

True. Neither are recent, though.

I am genuinely curious of who he is referring to when he said Argentine center forwards like the guy we are signing have a poor recent history in the PL. I can’t think of anyone recently that flippers. Alvarez has done quite well even though he has only been a back up.

Depends how you're defining recent.

Aguero retired from MC in 2021.
Higuain was 2019.

Yeh..... I get you though.... Vickery listing a load of bottom half and championship clubs/strikers was a poor evidence set from which to base his point.

"Who are the high profile duds?" ought to be the question.......

Was he referring to a type of striker though? That’s what’s I took from it. I’m not sure about any of those guys he mentioned but seems to infer they were big target men types who couldn’t adapt in the PL
