The amounts on this deal and the Tapsoba deal have been highly speculative from Day 1.
All we’ve really known for the most part is that both clubs are reluctant sellers and don’t need to so we have to overpay on both counts.

The last we heard from Bayern was only a day ago and as little as it's worth it said the clubs were still circa 30m apart... Whilst some accounts were re-stating the idea that Kane wasn't gonna sign if things couldn't be tied up before Thursday week.

Pinch of salt for all of it you prefer; but again.... You're not offering up facts here; just Twitter-detective work.

Meh I actually don’t think it’s that bad

He gave a bunch of vague comparisons to other Argentinian strikers who struggled and talked about how the U20 team around him was bad (still got 3 goals mind). It was a very surface level analysis to me, like “there are other Argentinian strikers who haven’t done well” was the most critical point he made. he wasn’t saying that Veliz was a bum or anything just that he may not be able to replace Kane.

Didn’t come away thinking anything bad about Veliz.

I always get the feeling Vickery is more pro Brazil and not so enthusiastic about all things Argentina. I actually like Vickery, I think he also has a soft spot for Spurs
