Bayern continue to act small time.

Kane - "Figure it out before Brentford"

Bayern - "How about you figure it out in 24 hours"

Real tough club

As with City before them; it's just arrogance..... And the assumption that they only have to click their fingers and they get what they want.

The funny thing is that if you think back to the ball-park fee atm; how utterly insulting was City's so-called bid when he had 3 years left on his deal and was 2 years younger? .......And that's the 2nd most wealthy (by far!) club in the world!

Wankers; both of them.

The progress of this transfer....

At some point everyone has to show their cards. Bayern setting a deadline makes sense. If they have the sense that Spurs actually want Kane to move on (which I think is true) they ought to draw a line and bring this to a conclusion. Bayern will be successful with or without Kane so there's not much for them to lose. For them Kane is a "it would be nice to have" player, not a "must have" player.

I think Kane likely feels that vibe too..... He's already seen it once with regards to City... Who made him look a bit foolish in the process.

But we are not going to have the same drips from last season though are we?

Udogie for a start. We are getting Philips and VdV looks to almost be other the line.

Your panicking for no reason.
Udogie is a wing back and we're playing a back 4.
Porro is also a wing back on the other side.
So far we have not yet signed a CB capable of shoring that defence up.
I'm not convinced VDV is that player. At least not yet.
You can't actually be serious that a kid no ones heard of from Blackburn is going to be anything other than a Levy punt that he can flip him for £10m in 2 or 3 years after some loans?

Indeed but your logic is that Tosin is better because he's been linked to us and Monaco whereas Schuurs has been linked to us, Monaco and Liverpool but not recently.

Not sure that logic holds up...
Schuurs has not been linked to us by anyone credible. Monaco and Liverpool links to him are irrelevant, Liverpool has not been linked to him for two years, I can't even find anything linking him to Monaco.

If this is really it for Kane I hope we going for another creative midfielder.

With Kane going we not only lose our leading goal scorer but our top playmaker from last season.

I love the Maddison signing, but getting another G/A producing #8 to play aside of him would be ideal since we can lock in Richarlison up top.

Kane didn't actually do much playmaking last season, which is one of the reasons our attack looked like shit. If we want another creative 8 Lo Celso is right there.

Interesting quotes here. I think the weaknesses are some of the ones that have been discussed here too, but sounds like his mindset and mentality are good and he’s willing to put in the hard yards to improve.

"We have a lot of experience with youngsters. We look at strengths and we saw a Cruyffian defender - a lot of risk taking, incredible speed, I have never seen something like that"

"We also saw defensively he was a little bit weak, especially in agility, one-on-one defending, heading, some things in the tactical area. They are things we could work on."His special weapon was already there. I worked at Ajax with fast players, but this was incredible."

"Van de Ven ran a 60m sprint test, after training in 7 seconds."We absolutely believed in his abilities," adds Jongkind. "We have worked with de Ligt, Mazraoui, Dest, Alderweireld, Botman, good defenders and we knew the level he could reach potentially."

"We worked a lot on him. He gained 10kg, tactically he became much stronger. Mentally he was already strong but he gained a top-sport mindset, training hard and taking care of himself. His heading improved a lot, technically he improved."

"He is such a winner, a fighter, he doesn't want to lose, never, he will give everything," explains Jongkind. "Off the pitch, he is growing as well."He was young when he was with us & also needed to develop his personality off the pitch, you need that when you play in the PL."
