I'm fine with that.

We still need a pacy right sided attacker/forward if Kane leaves as well as another CB (even if he doesnt).

I believe the Brennan Johnson noise so think we will try and get that done before the Kane announcement is made.
Surely we should be after that player called gift? £50M for Johnson is soldaldo levels in terms of what we get for our money.

Taremi doesn't really make sense from an age point of view.

He's about as close to a Kane as you can get - but I can't help but think he doesn't necessarily suit Ange's style of football at all.

All of the sudden we're suddenly interested in and preparing offers for multiple strikers out of the blue. This stuff doesn't meet the requirements for "silly season", just a load of shit.

Don't fall for the clickbait, guys.

2 different matters entirely.

Regardless of installment plan; £ v € is still a thing.
Yep a very big thing especially when the euro receipts would be in tranches over a number of years and could effectively be worth much less.

Any exchange risk would likely be mitigated in a couple of ways:

1) lock the conversion rate in via a foreign exchange swap deal which commits you to selling a predetermined amount of euros on predetermined dates. (The bank would set up a shadow deal where someone has a similar need to forward sell sterling into euros).

2) use the incoming euros from player sales to pay outgoing euros for player purchases - using this method is called a natural hedge

No prizes for guessing what I did in a previous life! 😂

This was such a stupid transfer saga.

The Blackburn fans are, how to phrase it, unimpressed by their owners.

Spurs had offered a higher sum (£3m/£4m) to avoid the buy out clause coming into operation in case another club tried to exercise it which management had accepted verbally. Owners Venky's overturned that and Spurs were presented with a demand for £9.5m (inc; add ons) which Spurs politely declined.

Spurs have since sat on their hands waiting for release clause to come into play (with player enthusiastically accepting Spurs offer and done his medical) which it now has, whilst Venkys have totally overplayed their hand and lost a few million which they could have had.

Blackburn finances are not in great shape so Venky's have just announced an extra £3m pa sponsorship - if they had been more sensible most of the first year of that would have been paid by Spurs !

over 100 million Euros, got to accept that for kane really. Go buy Tapsoba with a big chunk of it and we'll be ok

Though the day is soon approaching when we'll need to replace Son too

We could look at it another way. Buy a forward who basically acts as our first line of defence. Bit like the Liverpool front 3 did for years. That way you do t get to our defence that often. Only problem is Son is not gonna help much in the frontline defence and not is kulu as he is easily bypassed as he turns like a tanker.
