Romero may miss a game or two due to suspensions and the odd injury but it'd be seriously unlucky to have one of Romero and van de Ven/new centre back out at the same time to force our hand into playing Davies or Dier at centre back.

For the majority of the season, we'll be playing one game a week, other than when a League Cup fixture will fall midweek.

I have no doubts if someone came in with a reasonable offer for Dier, we'd get rid of him. He doesn't count as HG, he has one year left on his contract and he's not a first team starter. However, I don't think anyone is interested, therefore there isn't much we can do besides hope if he does get some game time, he performs.

I'm talking moments that it makes sense to........ I'd like to think he has the intelligence to such a need on the odd occasion.

Regards to today though.... He's spot on...... It's a glorified training session; do what you've been sent out there to do..... Need to fllush the Conte out of their system asap.
