Dunno about that. More of a risk at 17/18 and clearly not fully grown compared to Orban, who at least looks physically capable. Not to mention there's far less of a market for left backs than forwards.
English and an attacker when we bought him, "no risk" but not talking about him specifically. We had that African striker that had a great U21 wc, 5m no risk etc.

I doubt it would. We are a big club, VDV and Laporte can fight for the LCB role and cover each other. Any player not willing to fight for their spot shouldn’t be at a club like ours.

If Laporte isn’t good enough and VDV is too strong then oh well, but when VDV gets injured we know we will have a half decent player coming in. Same for Udogie for that matter, if Ange thinks he is good enough he will play him.

Our Injuries are often crippling, we need at least 2 good players per position. At CB we don’t have that.
If Laporte can also cover Romero at RCB, I’m ok with it but 3 left footers into 2 spots (LB, LCB) needs managing

In real terms it works neither way..... So whatever way youre both slicing it any sense of "ambition" is distorted and wrong..
Personally, in real terms, I don't give a shit how much or when the money was spent on the individuals in our squad, as long as the squad is filled with talented players of course.

The whole net spend, what is counted when issue is solely for needless pro/anti Enic internet debates. Am I happy we have Kulusevski and Porro in the squad? Yes, beyond that it doesn;t matter one iota when the fee was classed as being paid, an issue rendered even more irrelevant these days when it is evident that fees are generally paid over a number of years anyhow...

This... I'm a fan of.

Unless one is happy to pretend their club has infinite money to spend then this isn't true though...... And you're kidding yourself if you think it's exclusive to Spurs.

That said; I do miss the 80s/90s where none of this crap was reported and discussed in such detail....... If we could close Pandoras Box again; I happily would.
