After the deal went through the noise was about the true fee being as little as £3-5m

Biggest money needs to go to another CB. Then another Ange style winger IMO as I still think Son can thrive as a striker. I like Romero and VDV but who knows if VDV is ready and Romero is always a walking suspension. We are not far away from having Dier as CB on the halfway line. I would be annoyed if we spend 50+ on a striker with still major issues in defense. We got our striker last year and then signed some prospects. Give him a chance to show what he can do.
We don't need to replace Harry Kane. We need strikers to play a role in an Ange system. I don't think scoring goals will be a problem for us this year as a team. Defense on the other hand...I think we could really use an experienced CB to add to the mix. Even an older guy to bridge the gap for 1-2 years. Let's go sign Pepe. Him and Romero could rotate depending on who is suspended.

In Levy’s defence with City their bid was a joke. Best striker in the league on 3 year deal scoring and assisting more than any other player.
The rumour was £200m Levy price and City would start at £100m and it would get done for around £160-180m. City and Charlie thought we could be lowballed for £100m. Club couldn’t do a deal in those circumstances, we would have looked so weak.

From the papers it was between £75m and £130m depending on which journalist. I guess City spent their cash on Grealish and Charlie and City thought they could lowball Levy. Whole thing was dumb as fuck.

As Eze's not realistic this summer IMO, I'd consider trying to hijack Kudus to Brighton too. He fits Ange's system. Can play RW, 8, even as a false 9 too.
