I keep ranting on this, but why in the hell would we be in for a striker when we bought one last year for 60m and he hasn't played more than what, 3 games in the central role? Not to mention we have Scarlett and Veliz waiting in the wings. We have much greater needs elsewhere.

I don't think we're in for Vlahovic but I do think he'd probably be a Moneyball-esque signing: value has dipped significantly due to his Juve performances but there's a strong argument that it's down to their style of play not suiting him (whereas our attacking play might).

But they'll pay SOME of his wages....... Which is typically offset against the remainder of a players contract if they leave.
In short... Tanguy get's paid by us or a combo of us and his new club unless he finds someone who's gonna pay him an even bigger annual wage.

Well yeah that’s what we have been doing with his loans. I read somewhere,( not sure how true) that Napoli were paying 40% of his wages.
I get the feeling he will go on loan again in a similar deal and it will be easy to get rid when he has 1 year left on the contract next year

Vlahovic will never happen - he's not interested, Juve aren't selling and we wouldn't stump up the money.

But he's a good player and he would do well in an aggressive, pressing side.

Because that 60 mill player isn't good enough or even fit enough. It's up to Ange though, he was wasn't here when we signed Richarlison, he may have his own ideas who he wants to replace Kane.

A real sickner for you guys to see him go. Celtic went through it with the King, the real King and not Kenny Dalglish (Dalglish played for Celtic for 7 years before he went to Liverpool). Henrik Larsson. The so called King Kenny couldn't lace Larsson's boots.

It's hard but one man does define the club, you move on. As Postecoglu said, you were there long before Kane and will be there long after.

My worry now is that Ange targets Kyogo. He will be thinking about it, of that there is no doubt

Probably because Richarlison was terrible? Doesn’t matter that he played mostly out wide, he repeatedly missed from 5 yards. He scored in 2 matches all season. One of the worst seasons for a forward in the history of Tottenham. The fee doesn’t mean anything. He isn’t good enough to replace Kane.

If a loan works out better financially than shipping him off economy-class to Turkey so be it.......

What he actually ends up doing with his lazy ass for the next 12 months I couldn't care less..... I just want him leeching off of us as little as possible and away from any impressionable elements of the playing staff.

Those 2 - i.e. Doku & Olise - are players I'd liked Spurs to sign (yes, I know Doka's had a poor injury record lately)...but no chance if City are after them.
However, if Man C signs Paqueta they may not go after Olise.

Kyogo signed a new contract didn't he? I don't think Ange will go back for any Celtic players, I think he knows he annoyed the fans by leaving in the summer and won't want to upset them any further by raiding the club for their best players.

Gift Orban looks like a Kyogo type, and he is younger and will be probably be cheaper. Another one linked is Jonathan David at Lille.

He's an arrogant mid table player whose ego is greater than his talent. What a waste of 60 mil
