I doubt Gibbs White for 50m is a thing....... People forget he has all sorts of clauses which take his OG purchase price up to around 50m to start with....... There's virually no sell on benefit for Forest.

Getting Conte Lenglet on loan when he asked for other CBs as a priority was in no way backing a defensive coach that plays a system with 3 CBs.

It was an embarrassment and also certainly contributed to his decision not to extend his contract then have a total meltdown .

Now, if the club don’t invest heavily after Kane goes, it will be even worse than giving Conte Lenglet. Criminal, scammy behaviour

I didn’t get why people have a hang up on Conte.

In nearly all his previous roles same thing, he comes into a team with elite underperforming players (Chelsea/Juventus) gets them fired up, wins a title, then falls out with everyone and fucks off.

For us he came into a squad that wasn’t elite, therefore we need to instantly get a top squad which means huge initial spending (£300-500m) to get him more elite players then maybe win the Premier League. After that he fucks off.

We gave him some players but nowhere near a squad capable of even an outside title challenge so forth was the best he could do. He then fell out with everyone and fucked off.

Conte did a good job given the circumstances before doing his normal fall out with everyone routine. Conte was such an ill fit for a club that needed a long term rebuild although not as bad as Jose or Nuno. Not in a million years was Conte ‘’backed’’ relative to what he is used to, you can’t make a cheque book manager a project manager.

Agree with your Conte analysis- ultimately he was the wrong fit and failed.

But it’s also true that he wasn’t backed with top quality CBs.

I find it really funny that Conte literally fucks off after 1.5 to 2 years everywhere he goes.
 
What an utterley shit appointment Conte was, Conte a mug for taking the job as well as if he didn't expect a club like Spurs not to fully back him lol although I suspect that was to do with the fact he got scammed and needed to make some money back.

There were no winners in the whole situation.

That's true definitely not this season but I think if he continues his trajectory he won't be at forest for long.

They do have some financial issues and I wouldn't be surprised if they go down. He also has a great relationship with Cooper if he got sacked and they go down he will be off.

That's all ifs and maybes anyway and definitely not now
