While he is limited on the ball he was half decent with Poch. I just don’t think he can play in a low block, but in a press where he is often defending by foot races with attackers he is in his element. Other than that he might be a confidence player and if Conte was ripping him to pieces it probably didn’t help.

I can live with him as our 4th choice. Still need another top CB.
Interestingly, he was quite good on the ball yesterday. Definitely a useful squad player. Do we offer him a new contract, though?

hope we come in for Eze this week. Think he would kill in the role Skipp was playing yesterday. of course palace are rich so they would make us bleed the way we did bayern.
But maybe they'd like some of our finest garbage in part ex also. Could see Tanguy in a palace shirt, im sure they actually wouldnt mind spence

I don’t give a fuck the chavs are doing with their back door Saudi money.

You might be right about the price but..

We don’t have 60m to spend on a striker when we have more pressing places to spend limited funds

Vlahovic would come in and also get limited touches because that’s the role in this team and we would all be saying we spent 60m and he isn’t Kane
I thought Chelsea’s consortium was Clearlake owned by an Iranian who’s an American citizen ?

If Olise's release clause gets triggered they'll price us way out of Eze. They probably will anyway since they're expecting Olise to go either now or very soon. If they lost both in 1 window they're strong candidates for relegation and they probably know that. Zaha leaving will impact them as well, I actually think since we don't have to negotiate a price Olise is the smart pickup, provided his head hasn't been turned by City already. Think he would fit this system better than Kulu on the right which gives us the chance to try him in the 8 role or just use him as a utility player.

Chelsea still can't seem to score or create that much.
Surprised they aren't sniffing around Orban too.

Seems too cheap to me. If he really is the real deal, someone with a lot more disposable cash than us would already be lining this one up as a punt.

Let's just say he is the next best thing and we want him. We're gonna have to do this quickly. If we start fannying around with lowball offers etc, some one else will just come in when it becomes apparent he's moving a la Dias to Liverpool.
He's cheap because of the league he plays in. If he was playing in Germany or Italy, he'd be double the price.

Just reminiscing on this time last year when Abramovic was forced to sell and everyone here thought Chelsea would be moddest and "go back to where they were" before him.

Almost £1bn spent since.

Yea that’s fair. I’ve actually got no clue how Vicario will turn out. I’m hardly knowledgeable about GKs but I’d imagine it be quite unlikely for him to have completely fluked last season, although his ball deflecting looks like it’ll cost us a few this season.
He’s obviously very talented and can pull of stunning reflex saves.
But yeah he’s got a few flaws including putting the ball back in the danger zone.

It's fucking criminal that they're even able to spend on this scale, even next to City and now Newcastle this is financial doping of an unprecedented level. Surely they will be getting investigated in a few years time when they've won fucking everything on offer, nd no doubt get off with a paltry fine. Football is fucked.
