I do find it very weird they don't see anything in this guy as backup/rotation to Jesus over N'ketiah, who I see as very average and they were quite happy to let him go but no one matched their valuation and he played his way to a squad place last season. But he's probably hit his ceiling and isn't getting any better, and he's not that good now.
