Perhaps the conclusion one should be taking is that the front 3 might need more than one game to click with a new system......? .............And that - with regards to a ST - it's hard to score if no chances are being created?

A one game, fan jury is foolishmess.
Well I'm not convinced by Richarlison, even as far back as when he played for Everton, Son has been off form since our pre season to Korea last year, and Kulesevski has been quite poor apart from his first six months when he arrived from Jueventus. So I'm adding the Brentford game to that.

Whilst tucking into your sarnie; take the time to ponder the difference being truth and actuality vs torturing ones self-concocted horror stories.

Until X or Y happens; you're not right about anything. That's just how reality works.

You seem oblivious to the fact that business done so far this summer should buy enough patience to see how the remainder of the window unfolds... You can't handle that though..... The waiting is visibly difficult for you.
Why do you think I’m torturing myself?

City move for Paqueta apparently off. You'd imagine this raises the chances of then pushing through the Doku deal, and I wonder if it makes them turn to Eze. Profiles very similarly to Grealish but with more goalscoring ability and (to this point) less ball retention.

Don't disagree

But I think with squad we have its Son/Perisic, Richarlison/new striker, Kulusevski/Solomon ...... and Gil is spare.

So its difficult to fit Porro in and see if he can play RW.
The only real advantage is the additional defensive cover he provides (I know, the irony).

Will be interesting to see how we cope with Rashford tomorrow.

Rumours on twitter that didn’t have a serious development amongst them

- Lloris looks like it's gonna happen.
- You were happy enough to ponder Dav's rumoured exit as it meant wallowing in the idea of Dier staying.
- You're happy to say Levy is deliberately sabotaging the sales so he doesn't have to buy anymore... Without ANY evidence (no matter how thin & twittery).
- You've flat out denied the mere existence of so much as twitter rumours 2 days in a row now (why if they're so meaningless to you?).

M'thnks you're not exactly playing with a straight bat here.

"I want links....... No; not those ones"

Fact is even the so-called 'good' sources get stuff wrong (or BS if you prefer that theory), so either take the plausible stuff on face value (yet with an understandable degree of caution) or don't take any of it on board at all...... Pretty sure you'd keenly react if some twitter no mark said "Orban if off cos Levy spent the money on Belgian waffles instead" or "Tanganga is not moving cos Levy wants 30m and a Kinder suprise for him".

If you were flat out opposed to all twitter/ITK etc. I could respect that; but you're not.

It's not like everyone isn't keen to see every last box ticked in this window; but all the self-concocted torture theory isn't gonna make the wait any more bearable; for you OR those that are able to be patient.

Bournemouth spending over £100 million on players yet we are still dicking about.

Something is seriously wrong.

Agree on this, especially when we have recouped over 100 million plus.

Yes, context is that we have bought quite a few first players, but we also know we are 2/3 short, and that's before we lose whoever else.

Smaller squad needed - understood, but we can't be content as it stands, even if this is the largest amount of new starters for many many years.

The excuse next week will be that we couldnt get our targets, because the buying clubs couldnt tee up replacements, as it is too late in the window. All because we have been too slow sorting things out.

Can see it coming a mile off. Part of the problem was highlighted in the Athletic the other day

It should also be pointed out that a club’s reputation can have a big effect on how easy or hard it is to sell players. (...) it’s amazing how different perceptions are of players when they’re at a club deemed to be a good place for them to develop. (He refers to how Man City can receive good money for their fringe players). And the opposite can be true — as Spurs have demonstrated. Tottenham’s struggles over recent years make it even harder to sell unwanted players because there’s no real sense from prospective buyers that it’s been a place where individuals have been well coached or picked up good habits. Until this perception changes and until big contracts that were handed out pre-Covid expire, selling players will remain a particularly acute problem for Spurs.

Already articulated, Rishi. Take the message, not the side-step:

"You seem oblivious to the fact that business done so far this summer should buy enough patience to see how the remainder of the window unfolds"

Fair, but do you see enough goals in that current group of players

I think we have no excuse for not hsving a striker if note already. None whatsoever. We have had so very long to sort it.

We have one centre back. We need one more.

We need a central midfielder. On that it's beyond obvious.

Beyond that it's wants and they can wait.

Links mean nothing until they happen.

I just dont understand what is going on, it is utterly bizarre. We are setting the manager up to fail. If we have a bad start and they sack him then the fans wont be against the manager this time.
Some fans will .
And if history repeats itself as far as TFC is concerned, it'll be the ones who were most vociferous in telling us how excited and positive we should be when Ange was first appointed
