So as I said - we've got to pay the wages regardless, so loan them out to anyone that will have them and subsidise the wages.

Even if we get away with only paying half, that should still be a substantial saving on paying their full wages for them to be doing nothing.

Using last summer as a reference point; wouldn't you say it's more than likely that's already considered a perfectly viable option.........?

He’s been going to PSG all summer. Tovelieri gets very little correct (check his ridiculous feed). He made a clickbait link to spurs and is now trying to cover his tracks.

If you think Kolo Muani was ever coming to us over PSG then you are too hysterical to reason with.

What happens when Orban goes to UTD or Al Chilsi?

Was he always going there as well and we were hysterical to think we had a chance?

Maybe they won't, or not all of it but if that gets us some money back and off our books isn't that worth it?

I'd rather that than he stays until next summer and then walks out on a free. Same with some other players we want to get rid of.

Or we keep them all become nobody wants them or willing to pay the required price of won't agree to pay x % of their wages and they all stay, stinking out the place.

I know what Ange would prefer but how about you?

Have you got a house or car for sale?

Well shit out of ideas then.

If you're saying that you think they've exhausted every avenue for loan, transfer, give away for free - that would mean there's some who are impossible to sell, impossible to loan out and we don't think they've got any chance of being near the first team.

Well let's just have them sitting around doing fuck all and keep paying full whack for them then.

Levy, missing out on a transfer from dithering and taking too long to decide?

I am shocked. We are shocked.

I guess it's just as well that there wasn't a Spurs fan alive that believed Levy had the ability to sign a plyer with this type of profile...

The strange one is Orban. He's not expensive like Tapsoba or Kolo Muani. Can't really understand why the club have also decided to make him a "We Tried" transfer as well by dithering until other clubs came on line.

:mourcheeks:
One narrative and one narrative only. It just started raining - kinda surprised there aren't any anti ENIC posts shaking fists at the clouds.

No-one bothers to think that PSG offered him more money. "Don't look around the eyes, look into the eyes"

Also agree on Orban but I imagine negotiations are ongoing given that it's a punt and they want to take the lions share of the Kane money.

I'm going to shake a fist at the clouds now to see if it helps.

2 years ago most fans were keen for Hugo to extend his contract as he was playing well.

We are a decent club and still wanted him.
I don't think that is true.

The cracks in Hugo have been showing since the DUI or even before that. At minimum he was dividing the fan base for the last few years. Last year was the tipping point as he became an absolute liability

And French player chooses French serial winners, CL side...shock?

I utterly despise Levy and ENIC and cannot wait for them to fuck off.

But we were never getting Muani. We’re levels below where he can shop.

I'm not saying all avenues have been exhausted........ We won't know that til Sep 1st.

(Until then I'd assume all options continue to be explored....)

You don’t see any similarities between the club’s actions this summer and any other summer?
Conversely, don't you see the similarities with other clubs?

For example, if you talk to woolwich fans (shudder...) won't they same much the same about Pepe, Tavares, Nelson, Elneny, Soares, Holding etc as we say about our deadwood? Doesn't every club have some deadwood that's hard to shift? (Apologies if anyone doesn't consider any of those deadwood - I admit that was a list lazily compiled by just looking through the squad).

Not necessarily saying they are the same exactly, just that for all clubs it's not easy to shift deadwood, that doesn't apply just to us.

I don't think that is true.

It is true.... You may have had a differing opinion at the time, but it was absolutely true none-the-less.

Check the Hugo thread at that time for clarification.

Should we have signed a younger GK as #2 to ensure a smoother transition to post-Hugo times?

Absolutely....... And we did....... Gazzaniga, Giollini..... Neither stepped up tho'.

(Keeper contingency isn't as straightforward as one might depict...... Look at the froth caused by about the scum signing Raya on top of Ramsdale...... Most pundits are saying that it's a recipe for stress & drama..... It's not like signing 2 x DMs and letting them fight for minutes and rotation...... You need to pledge your confidence in a GK and let them 'run'.)

Anyone at all bemoaning a lack of a striker (of repute) already signed-up or all but sealed has my backing 100%.

I completely accept we cannot compete in all reality with the biggest clubs or those now bankrolled by filth states, but you cannot sell one of the world's best strikers for 100 million pounds and not replace them.

Nothing in any book of mine tells me that is reasonable, acceptable or designed to see a club compete.

And regardless of this evening's game which is most likely going to showcase that lack pf striker will change that viewpoint. Nothing..

It's beyond any dictionary definition of imcompetent.
