That doesn't mean they'll be able to buy him back. Pedro Porro & Lavia had both such buy back clauses

Tbh, being Spurs fan was far worse in the 90's and 00's from Venables leaving to Jol taking over. The last 15 years, while trophy free, has seen some good times and obviously finishing above the Gooners for most of the last decade is nice.
I had fun watching our pre-season and opening fixtures. I'll take that over a plodding team grinding out a cup run any day.
Maybe being a spurs fan has not been for you. Most spurs fans have been really excited. I remember the buzz when we first started playing champions league football and the taxi for Maicon evening… people were pinching themselves that we were having these great European nights and playing good football under Harry.
There have been ups and downs since then but the Poch days have been the best in 40 years.

Yes, obviously (although they most probably got some financial benefits from that deal). Besides, if a player does not want to re-sign for them then he will remain at the club that signed him.
