Brennan Johnson would be essentially a perfectly decent HG rotation option. For £50m you must be getting starting quality you simply must be.

If his name was Brennão Jonso from Fluminese how much buzz would he be getting solely off his performances?
It's a timeline thing. He bossed the Championship at 20 and looked a major star. Forest put a "suitors fuck off" price tag on him and made him central to their survival plans.

And he was....okay. He wasn't quite as bad as Ryan Sessegnon on first PL exposure, the comparison I made, but the higher level of quality and speed of play definitely made him look more ordinary. 21 is still very young but not child young, he was older than Sarr or Udogie last year.

If there isn't further development there he's a very ordinary mid-table-y footballer. There COULD be further development there, probably more likely than not. But the risk that there isn't seems unreasonable to me for 50M.

And that's why I make the comparison to Sess, another young English player who the club had lusted after for years, and were undeterred by the poor performances that made his club suddenly willing to sell for a feasible price when we really should have been.

I just can't see that his celing is £50m high.....

I'd rather just give Solomon those minutes.

For our next home game they should make him stand on the centre spot at HT so we can shout abuse and tell him to fuck off for 15minutes.
I was gonna say ban him from the training ground and the stadium but the lazy fat bastard would love that.

Whatever is the least rewarding, most hard work drills to do around the training centre, just have him that all day every day for the max amount of hours.... And ban him from the canteen so he has to fill his greedy fucking face all on his own.

No more than 20 mins break every 6 hours.

UK Law: "
If you work for more than 6 hours a day, you're entitled to an uninterrupted rest break of at least 20 minutes - for example a tea or lunch break. You must be allowed to take it during the day rather than at the beginning or end."

Put him on a 100% cardio training program, either he breaks and accepts another club, or he possibly even becomes useful to us.
I think we can rule out the last option, but I think he's very much earned whatever abuse the club feels is necessary to throw at him to get him out.

We've become sympathetic to Dele's reasons for it, we probably understand less about Ndombele's reasons for it than we think we do, but it's the same story.

He doesn't want to be a footballer anymore, not at the apex professional level. The day-in, day-out of that life isn't something he's committed to doing, and even at his talent level you're finished if that's the case.

It's a real shame to see a gift wasted like this, beyond what a pain in the ass the situation is for our club. There are very few humans who have what Tanguy has, and he won't do what it takes to harness it.

Ndombele represents everything that is wrong with a footballer.

It doesn't matter who he is contracted to.

An absolute fcuking waste of space and energy, with no shame whatsoever.

The bigger problem is stupid rich clubs crazily over spending on wages and transfer fees.
Some people are motivated by money, most actually. who would have though giving a young lad with questionable work ethic and motivation issues in the past a 6 year contract on 200k a week

What if he’s Ange’s #1 target ?
What the analytics computer he and the recruitment staff have been reported to be working with will say is that Johnson's statistics for dribbles and take-ons and the like for a player of his age correlate with outstanding players.

The eye test says differently. Synthesizing the two in a reliable way will be what separates the good transfer market operations from the bad ones.
