Im not going to pretend I know Orban well. I also don’t know other relevant facts like whether and how soon Scarlett and Veliz are to contribute to the first team. There are so many factors that will affect how much were willing to pay.

But I think ANY player who has one big season in Belgium will have a limit to the price that can be expected. Our confidence in evaluation is small because of the sample size and the quality of the league.

I’ve already said I think 20m + bonuses dependent on goals scored and CL qualification to top it up to 30-35. If Orban isn’t able to score dozens of goals over his contract then he’s not worth 30m.

I have much, much more sympathy for players upset with lack of playing time than players who won't accept loan moves to places where they would play and prefer to just sit on the bench and suck down huge wages.

Professional footballers should want to play.

And Lo Celso in particular I'm sure is devastated about his injury that cost him a slot in the World Cup winning side his home country will be talking about for the rest of his life. He's desperate to get his career back going.

If the VDV and Maddison buys were the Kane money (they were less btw) then why are we not spending the non-Kane money?

That is a thing you know.
