So, where did they get the money from?As far as I'm aware they've put little to none of their own money in to the club.

Awoniyi would be well worth a bid imoI think with the money we are willing to spend, he would be somewhere around our limit give or take.
We are never going to be in the market for say, a Kane or a Haaland, so this is the next level down and makes sense.
My only concern is, will this be linked to players going out, because we seem to be struggling to offload.
I really hope that, levy backs this manager this window with a couple more, I think he could really be starting something, but let's not get excited.
Were or are?
Arse (m/euros):
22/23 in 192.3 out 23.8 = 168.5m
21/22 in 167.40 out 31.4 = 136.0m
20/21 in 86 out 19.1 = 66.9m
19/20 in 160.8 out 53.6 = 107.2m
= €478.6m (net spend) / Avg per season = €119.65m
This summer: Subject to further sales; they're currently at €200m (n)......... £170m sterling.
That will surely send shivers down the spine's of every PL defender!55m is actually less than I had assumed Lille would want for David, they got considerably more than that for Victor Osimhen.
I think David is terrific. Two footed, works his ass off, an unusually good passer for a #9 and he really has a nose for goal. He's Canada's danger man almost more so than Alphonso Davies.
I'm terrified of the notion of anybody being given the anvil of "Harry Kane's Replacement", but in terms of suitability to play striker in the PL, David gets my seal of approval for sure.

You've never been anywhere near it, have you? Why??
How would you enjoy life living in a desert, surrounded by men dressed in bed sheets, and handkerchifs on their heads???

Also a bloody stupid time to let the media put this out on the same day as Maddison is due to have a scan.I think Ange was probably testing GLCs reaction to being on the bench but not then asked to come on and if this report is true then GLC has failed the test. Ange wants people who he can count on, not weak minded whingers.
Dont mess with the Ange![]()
Plus, just to note, while he is obviously Canada’s best forward, he was definitely not that at the World Cup.That will surely send shivers down the spine's of every PL defender!

In matchday 3 of the group stage vs Morocco, a must-win match for Canada to advance…
Canada selected Cyle Larin (MLS) and Junior Hoilett over him in attack.
That’s right, in a must-win do or die match at the World’s biggest stage, when the chips were down and Canada needed goals, they benched Jonathan David and brought him on as a sub.
I get a bit of “Extended Limbs Aaron Lennon” from Johnson, and while I loved Lennon, the PL is much less forgiving of his lack of technique now than it was then.
Sure but doesn’t inspire any sort of confidence. It was definitely based on performance as well, I watched him vs Belgium he was as wasteful and scattershot as a striker can be and barely got a kick vs Croatia.
No he's notOrban is the same age as Veliz. Why would he get minutes over the guy we just bought?
And yet, here we are, again. They’ve been consistently explicit about their virtuous circle of reinvestment. All club profits go back into the team - it’s the mantra that underpins all the NFL and stadium stuff.
So we should be investing whatever profit we’ve made last season plus player sales.
That spending doesn't take in to account Raya who they will activate.
There is no reason we should be unable to expect 170/180m net spend this summer, which would be perfectly in line with rivals.
