That spending doesn't take in to account Raya who they will activate.

There is no reason we should be unable to expect 170/180m net spend this summer, which would be perfectly in line with rivals.

I'm terrified of the notion of anybody being given the anvil of "Harry Kane's Replacement", but in terms of suitability to play striker in the PL, David gets my seal of approval for sure.

Completely agree.

Id be happy for our net spend to even be less if we can shift out some players we need to so that we can invest again smartly in Jan or next Summer.

Plus, just to note, while he is obviously Canada’s best forward, he was definitely not that at the World Cup.

In matchday 3 of the group stage vs Morocco, a must-win match for Canada to advance…

Canada selected Cyle Larin (MLS) and Junior Hoilett over him in attack.

That’s right, in a must-win do or die match at the World’s biggest stage, when the chips were down and Canada needed goals, they benched Jonathan David and brought him on as a sub.

Right, that's it, fuck it. Going tp change my mind and jump off Orban Island onto the David Train.

Basically because you said that Osihmen was at Lille before so they clearly know how to scout a striker.

Even if I have watched him and thought he was average. I didn't notice he was 2 footed so I couldn't have been paying that much attention.

Large swathes of TFC would crucify me for posting loans as cash spent if was Spurs.

The reality is that the Arse high spend this season is the anomaly over the last 5 years; "Arse just spent 200m quid" is not an indicator that we're under-spending.

Broader point being that (whilst I agree us finshing the window at £70m net would be underwhelming) whatever Arse decide to do in a one-off window shouldn't be a benchmark for what we're expected to do............. For all we know Kronke locks his wallet away now and it's sell-to-buy for a couple of seasons.

.....That's largely what happened at Liverpool after we were getting a kicking over their spending.

Now look:

22/23 in 137.3 out 80.7 = 56.6m

19/20 in 10.4 out 48.0 = -37.6m
= €143.3m (net spend) / Avg per season = €35.82m
 
Anyone thats actually surprised that our net spend is probably going to be less then 100m (I thought the 80m figure before the window opened) either doesn't know or refuses to believe how that weasel Levy operates.

Don't worry our DOF who we are looking to appoint the day after the window closes will save us.
