Right, so everyone's now happy with our forward line.

🤔

They better start scoring then and soon otherwise all the good work being done will be for naught.
No mate. The team better keep on winning and scoring goals, even if the front 3 get nothing all season. Because if the rest of the team is scoring and at prolific rates, that means the front 3 must be doing something to enable that.

But we need to make one though, not sure if you've been on Mars or something and missed this but we sold our best player, who happens to be a world class forward, nearly two weeks back and haven't signed a single player since.

Signing nobody isn't going to improve us, Ange isn't a miracle worker.
No one knows that first bit better than me.

It’s just that there doesn’t seem to be anyone who’s genuinely good that we can actually get.

Zooming out for a second - if the deal to be done is for a mediocre player at a ludicrous fee (which is still obviously malpractice bc we left it so late), I can take it or leave it. £50m for Brennan Johnson isn’t a good deal just because we sold Kane, it’s a crap deal no matter the circumstances, and that’s the issue.

Oh FFS.

The point still stands, this is an area we NEED to improve upon or do you disagree because of a couple of assists?

I genuinely forgot Kulu played in Sarr, though it was Porro.

Kane meanwhile bagged himself a goal as well as an assist on his Bayern debut, just saying.
I don't disagree at all.

You said our front three hadn't made any assists, I simply pointed out that they had made both on Saturday.

Kane scoring for Bayern is as relevant as Ronaldo scoring for Al-Hijab.

Music to Levy's ears.

Everyone is okay with this right now but what if we lose one of our next two games and then the window passes without a single new forward?

It's such a risk and a stupid one at that. You've been listening too intently to the Levy and ENIC defenders mate.

I'm going to take that one with just a pinch of salt.

Nothing I’ve said is defending Levy. This is all his fault. And imo, panic buying a mug player for £50-60m on deadline day would be stupid as fuck. But sadly that seems to be the only option. That or we buy Orban the kid, who is barely tall enough to ride roller coasters and will never be able to win a single aerial ball or hold up play on the counter.

It’s a shite state of affairs.

Maybe he is - we have already exceeded our goals per game ratio from last season :ange-clap:

Ha, well I forgot about Kulu but wasn't thinking of Perisic when talking about our front three but the ones that actually start there.

I didn't think I needed to spell that out but there you go, 2 assists and one was an assist to what turned out to be an own goal.

Our front 3 has not been impressive at all. No point trying to pretend otherwise.

Doesn’t mean they are all hopeless. Just that this performance throughout the entire season won’t be good enough.

Also, neither of the 2 “assists” last weekend actually counted as assists. Kulu because of the large deflection and perisic/Davies because of the OG, though perisic probably deserved an assist from that.

If True I actually think he would go, loads of money in an easy league has N'dombele all over it, I just hope we can get at least £50 million for him!

Thing is, he's not a big name.... I do wonder if they'd pay him more than the 200kpw that he's already on.....?

In which case it'd have to be a 3/4 year deal to interest him.

For the same money/length he'll just stick around as he's closer to home. :(

Great, maybe we'll get a trophy for that instead of a real one.

Am I alone here? The rest of the league has been sorely overrated, we have a real chance to do something really great this year but as per fucking usual no chance of that as it's too expensive.

With our current squad we might scrape into 6th place, with the cups it al depends on the draw and Fulham away next week will be tough.
