How much do Brighton want for Mitoma? If we can give them some players why not have a crack at him, he’s way better than some of the names on this thread.
I’m guessing 80+.

They have already sold a ton of players and have no reason to sell him as he was just bought last season.

They are in Europa and clearly targeting top 5-6 and won’t want to lose him, especially this late.

Less chance of getting him than eze, imo.

That's the end of the inquiry for me.

We do not have the resources to fail to make the very best use of them.
Yup, we don't spend at the rate of the gooners, nevermind City, United or Chavs, so to compete with them we need to pull of smart signings like Sarr, Bissouma, Udogie. Johnson for 50m just isn't in that category of players.

I'm not sure why, but Howe and Newcastle clearly rate Gordon and view him as a big part of their future. If we don't feel the same about Brennan Johnson this move shouldn't happen.
Well I assume the same applies to Ange with regards to Johnson or else I doubt we'd be pursuing this deal. It gives him another tool in the frontline to play around with, as it is we're starving for pace, as well as for HG players.

No chance. If Caicedo is 115m, they'll want 200m for him.

Wham spending Rice money on Kudus

We are spending Kane money on Johnson.

really don’t love it tbh.

Seems more like going for 3rd choice on the list because it comes with the convenience of getting a player 2 off the books.

Johnson may end up good but it’s not an inspiring signing.

Then again, I’m no football scout so maybe I’ve missed something with Johnson.

I did say +.

Caicedo’s high cost definitely was due to age. But I agree even 80-90 might be too low for Brighton.

we haven’t spent any money on Johnson yet.

Johnson wont be going to ACN?

He isn't, but being fast and right-footed he offers different options to Kulu, and I assume Ange has plans on how to use him otherwise we wouldn't be pursuing him.
There is always give and take.

I’d be surprised if Johnson is Ange top choice but maybe the club went to him and said this deal could work for the club, can you fuck with it?
And he said yes.

End of the day Johnson can beat people to the byline for pace and put in a cut back or low cross.
He could be useful.

I just don’t like it in the context of having just sold Kane.

There's been considerably more non-Spurs "actual" transfer news in this thread for weeks now.

I think Levy logged out of the fax machine after he sent Bayern the paperwork. He's now busy working on our official bannister sponsor deal and creating accounts on here to argue with all the Enic/Levy out posters.

I think Orban is something we know we can pull the trigger on and get done superquick so is now on the backburner subject to any other remaining activity.

Richard Arlison Richard Arlison - You don't think the trigger can be pulled on Orban within the space of 9 days bearing in mind it was all sounded out ages ago?
