Feel like we should be in for Kudus for that price. He can play as an 8 or RW, and Paul O'Keefe said a few weeks ago that the club would like a player who can cover both those areas. Seems like a no-brainer
According to Ajax fans he's "on and off" during games and he also often get "lost" during games not knowing how to position himself. Not my word.
Not something one will see in the high-lights on Youtube

In the time that had passed between Jan 1 - when Spurs could have had the deal done and Porro training in Enfield - and when it was eventually completed for MORE money, Spurs league campaign collapsed, putting the Conte situation on a terminal course to demolition.
Anyone blaming the collapse of our season on not getting in Porro on January 1st, an overpriced RWB for a petulant manager who had shown every inclination to leave in a huff as was his history at more free-spending clubs, is sadly mistaken.
If Levy made a mistake, it was wasting 45m or thereabouts on another defensive liability when it could have been put to better use on a CB this window after the inevitable managerial change that Wiggy himself engineered.

Ffs they got isak who is better than both rich kulu and Johnson for how much? Dippers got Gapko fir peanuts as well and his good. We seem to a have a drug like habit spending big on not real quality players. Kulu I think may be csn be a decent play in a diff position.
They are playing gakpo in MF and he hasn't been good there nor really anywhere

But that's the whole thing, it's concentric circles of mistakes, a Russian Nesting Doll of mistakes.

Every time you look at the deal from a new angle, or in new lighting, a new failure reveals itself.

It's Levy's masterpiece, as I said. His magnum opus, the fullest realization of how bad he is at this. It's exquisite.

Not overly enamoured with any of the strikers we‘re linked with.

I never thought I say this but if we could strike a reasonable deal to have Lukaku on loan for year, I might be tempted.

Don't need him ruining the good vibes. He's also busy with his own mess, I doubt he's in the best frame of mind to help us.

Particularly as we are supposedly interested in Eze too.

Both similar players but Kudus has a higher ceiling IMO and doesn’t come with the Premier League tax on his price.
He would be an excellent addition to the squad.

There's few decent strikers out there. Man U spent 80m on a guy who scored 9 goals against second rate Italian teams, RM have bought in Joselu, Liverpool spent 90m on dawin nunez last year. Even Brighton haven't been able to scout a decent striker

It's normally a tough position to fill but more so now. Apparently the youth football at top teams is geared up to make players into passing midfielders and no longer knows how to make good strikers

Gakpo was 37m raising to 45m, so sililar to Forest's starting price for Johnson. Johnson scored 1 more and assisted the same in a team that scored 38 goals than Gakpo did in a team that scored 75.

When Gakpo was the same age as Johnson, he scored 7 & assisted 3 in the Eredivisie, for the 2nd best team in that league.

That's why I really like the Veliz buy. A big, physical, out-and-out target man striker who plays on the back shoulder of the defense, backs himself, knows where the goal is, good in the air, there aren't a lot of guys like that anymore, which means defenders aren't used to it.

I wasn’t aware that he was posting anything from sources in the first place but I will take this information into consideration

There's been considerably more non-Spurs "actual" transfer news in this thread for weeks now.

I think Levy logged out of the fax machine after he sent Bayern the paperwork. He's now busy working on our official bannister sponsor deal and creating accounts on here to argue with all the Enic/Levy out posters.
