I never presented anything as fact lol, the paragraph you bolded is quite literally an opinion based statement, the only thing missing from the end of it is "imo"

The "everybody knows that X"-style rhetoric is where it crosses over beyond opinion; but I don't want to harp on that aspect; you've been extremly fair and magnanimous below......

Although having looked through our recent transfer history and the money spent on players compared to what we have taken when selling some of those players; I must admit that I am likely showing bias against Levy and am willing to concede that I am wrong because you make a valid point.

I also find your opinion that it is likely players willing to sit and collect a comfortable EPL wage until their contracts run down a more logical conclusion.

Fair fucks, fella. :adesalute:

Although it still makes me question how United are able to clear out 9 players this window and we can't shift anybody it seems (yet) surely it would be a more logical option at this point to just accept low bids for these players or do we have no power to force them out of the club outside of ripping contracts up?

(*Without a club in these cases means their contracts were up; so no cost exits.)

Given the big wages that United throw about it wouldn't suprise me to see they've paid sweeteners to balance out wage-cuts for some of the others.

.......All the while they're up against FFP and having to result to signing dregs like Jonny Evans & Ryan Betrand to bulk the squad out.

Vs us....

Totally expect Dier & Lloris gone too.

Further exits TBC.....?

Happy to admit when I am wrong mate, not trying to score points against you (or anyone for that matter) and you presented a fair and valid argument with excellent points so couldn't really dispute it.

I think I am just frustrated we are in this position with what are essentially wage thief's on the books, shame they can't be sacked for incompetence.

Another day another transfer thread completely monopolized by Airfixx arguing at length with walls of texts, taking over the majority of the page…

And another day with zero actual transfer news save young Alfie heading off to Port Vale…

Sigh.

Another day closer to the owners of this football club doing what they have done for as many windows as I can remember: just about enough.

If the transfer window was a property investment, “just about enough” would never be good enough for them.
