From a football/system perspective, Sanchez is much better than Dier and neither are HG so shifting Dier before Sanchez makes more sense. The only spanner in that logic is financially, Sanchez is probably worth more dough.

Diff. will be nominal (5m maybe)....... And both have one year left on their deals.......

Dier doesn't want to leave though.

He would be better than Richarlison but he definitely wouldn't be the answer, not with Son and Kulusevski up there with him. I'm not a huge fan of Martinez either, but if he was to be considered it would be more that Son, outside left remit, with a hold up guy as the 9. That's how he's always been best at Inter, with Lukaku or Dzeko up there doing the heavy lifting.
He would be 45895 billion times better than Richarlison

Martinez stinks of another expensive flop, if he's so amazing why is he playing for Inter? Players in Italy are very attainable for the right price, most of the teams are fucking skint, not one of the oil clubs or the old elite like United, Liverpool, Barca, RM come sniffing for him, spent a fortune more on players in his position who are less of a "guarantee". Looks to me like a reasonably reliable 1 in 2 type of striker, but for like £80-100m that Inter will want no thank you. He's not anything special to warrant that kind of money.

what i dont get in modern football is this huge demand for tranfers insted of using youth system
i mean i dont know alot about a tottenham youth players , but should it not be our goal to have players from our youth ?
maby our youth players are shit if anybody knows more please let me know
Football is a results business for the first teams. So the further up the pyramid, and particularly the further up the league that you are the bigger the expectation is on those results. And 99% of managers aren't going to lean on youth players to achieve that. Same for those teams fighting off relegation. The only clubs that can comfortable sneak youth players in every year are the ones that are content sitting around 10th and know that they can achieve that every year.

Poch stopped leaning on the academy core that he inherited the more success he had with Spurs.

There are obviously teams that are complete outliers from this principle, like Athletic Bilbao. But that is because they refuse to sign a player that lacks a connection to the Basque region. Which limits their recruitment pool.

Question for Spurs fans, its hypothetical and the chances are next to none but here we go...

United are clearly going to offload Greeenwood and rightfully so, however when he was at United if im not mistaken he was seen as a pretty big talent and his numbers were decent? Spurs are void of many attacking option so I wonder...would the fans be fine with Spurs getting a good talent for free albeit with a very questionable off the pitch issues?

Naturally due to what he did not many if any would like the kid but since chargers are dropped he's still going to be playing football.

How would you lot feel about getting Greenwood for free?

Obviously goes without saying I hope the question does not offend anyone as im sure it might be a sensitive topic.

I am almost positive a majority would say no to him but I am curious what everyone opinion would be from a pure footballing perspective?

its a no from me dawg GIF

Ideally, we need to get all of our signings in by Wednesday.

I don't see any benefit of leaving it beyond then. Someone like Tosin, perhaps yes. He isn't a starter for Fulham due to his current situation so that is one that could likely go to the final minutes but guys like Orban or David who we've been linked with aren't going to be sold deep into the window without adequate time for their clubs to get replacements in etc.

I am happy with the business we've made this summer. Vicario, van de Ven and Maddison all look absolutely fantastic. Not seen enough of Solomon in competitive games but I like what I saw of him in pre-season and at times with Fulham too. But we need to add some more quality to the team.

Sources tell me that rumours of certain players refusing to, or not wanting to move (ins and outs) are not necessarily true.

The likelihood of certain players leaving is much higher than others (but I can't say who to protect my source's anonymity.)

I've heard from a reliable source close to him, that Ange wants another wide forward and central defender in, and numerous players culled from the squad.

It's going to be an extremely exciting week!

Our women’s team which we’ve invested millions in would immediately go on strike, causing a massive PR disaster, likely boycotts and media firestorm impacting the men’s team.

And quite frankly he’s not played football in over a year. It would be a bigger football risk than you may think, he may not (probably will not) ever be the same player.

From a pure, amoral profit/loss perspective, he's not good enough for us to bring all the bad PR and bad vibes into our club.

Of course, since I'm not a cunt, I don't look at it from a pure profit/loss perspective. So the answer is that he gets snapped in half in his very first game playing for whatever scumbag club will have him.

We need to get a rotation CB in and another attacker. The midfield is pretty good (for now) and the rotation options are decent as well.

I don't know anything about Tosun or Schuurs but I'm sure they're improvements on Dier and Sanchez.

As for the forwards, it'd have to be a wide player. Although the only one we seem to be linked with is Brennan Johnson. I don't know how much he'd cost but if we can offload a player to Forest in exchange he might not be a bad option.

If we got these 3 done it would be an acceptable window tbh. Nothing amazing, but you have to get the signings that aren't exciting too.
