Thanks for the response guys!

Ya thats the basic sentiment I figured people would have behind that possibility.

The talent is their but it would absolutely destroy the PR of the team and the only way it would "make sense" is if he scored 50 a season and won you lot multiple leagues and CL. Which would never happen.

I think it would put spurs on the news for all the bad reasons

It still wouldn't make sense, fuck that rapist.

Stop It Michael Jordan GIF
Trust me I am not endorsing it haha I was just curious what the most would think granted I already knew the answer when I asked the question like I stated in the post 🤣

Sources tell me that rumours of certain players refusing to, or not wanting to move (ins and outs) are not necessarily true.

The likelihood of certain players leaving is much higher than others (but I can't say who to protect my source's anonymity.)

I've heard from a reliable source close to him, that Ange wants another wide forward and central defender in, and numerous players culled from the squad.

It's going to be an extremely exciting week!

Question for Spurs fans, its hypothetical and the chances are next to none but here we go...

United are clearly going to offload Greeenwood and rightfully so, however when he was at United if im not mistaken he was seen as a pretty big talent and his numbers were decent? Spurs are void of many attacking option so I wonder...would the fans be fine with Spurs getting a good talent for free albeit with a very questionable off the pitch issues?

Naturally due to what he did not many if any would like the kid but since chargers are dropped he's still going to be playing football.

How would you lot feel about getting Greenwood for free?

Obviously goes without saying I hope the question does not offend anyone as im sure it might be a sensitive topic.

I am almost positive a majority would say no to him but I am curious what everyone opinion would be from a pure footballing perspective?
Quality player but no plus Ange wouldn't want him as his personality/behaviours wouldn't fit his ideals.

Woah just saw that Ange and Tottenham are interested in his former player Jota who is already set to leave Saudi Arabia!

I followed Jota a lot the last two seasons especially last season with Ange, He has everything Spurs need out wide. Dribbling, flair, creativity, the ability to beat a man in the 1 v 1 and end product. He was the consensus best player for Celtic the last two seasons and I think he would be a fabulous addition to Tottenham.

But who is Jota for those who have not regular followed him?

Jota is part of the same generation of Benfica youth products such as Joao Felix and Ruben Dias. After being unable to break into the Benfica team which is normal for a lot of players from their youth academy like Cancelo or Bernardo Silva and also failing to make a impact at Real Valladolid, Jota was loaned to Celtic in the 2021-2022 season. What a move that ended up being for him as he finally found his feet and became an instant fan favorite scoring 13 goals while also grabbing 14 assists helping lead Celtic to the title. Jota displayed mouthwatering performances as well as having a great partnership with other host of really talented attacking talent playing their trade at Celtic Park. Last season he scored 15 goals and provided a further 12 assists.

PLAYSTYLE:

- Jota is a very skillful winger who primarily likes to operate on the left. Jota like many Portuguese players is very silky on the ball using deceptive body feints and step over to get passed his man. Comes off like a showboat at times especially at youth level but at Celtic he was really been able to add a end product to his play thanks to their progressive style of play. Jota enjoys cutting in a lot and is quite a good passer and crosser of the ball. His movement with the ball at times reminds me of Joao Felix and you can tell they were brought up together.

STRENGHTS:

Dribbling, Passing, Crossing, anticipation, creative

WEAKNESSES:

Shooting (despite his 15 goals last season this is a area that needs work), speed (not the fastest for a winger but his skill on the ball makes him deceptive), heading, Showboating (sometimes he is a bit too flashy).

Getting laugh react for this... fine, let me modify:

Offer Juventus 70 million plus Richarlison and Dier for Vlahovic and Chiesa.
Richarlison has some rare quality about him. He was genuinely unlucky before he threw his toys out. There's definitely something there and if it clicks with this team, it will be a joy to behold.

But I think we're going to see a few stinkers before that happens;

Never in a million years. Even if you're somehow thick as pig shit and believe all the bullshit he's fed the media about being innocent, despite the fact that everyone knows what he did, surely you wouldn't want the optics of a signing that literally every single fan of every single other club will chant "rapist" in the away end every home match? Even if you think he's innocent that is gonna follow him around for the rest of his career if he plays in England. Ched Evans copped a load of shite when he came back to the game even though he got his conviction overturned and it was proven beyond doubt that the woman was lying. Probably still gets a few rapist chants now playing for PNE. Just a terrible, terrible idea, and I don't want that fucking lowlife in our club anyway.

I can't look at him and not think of Lalo Salamanca.

We’re in a really good spot. Still in need of strengthening. Bring in two more players where ever Ange sees fit. I trust the guy. But more depth is needed. Especially at the front and back.

Honestly I think the goons would be perfect for Greenwood. Apparently they have a solid programme for rehabilitating players who get a bit rapey from time-to-time. A bit like AA, the players sit around in a circle once a week sharing stories about when they got a bit rapey and how their lives are better now that they get the other partey (pun intended) to sign a consent form first.
