110M spent on Richarlison and Johnson

Oh My God Wow GIF by reactionseditor
200+ mil spent on Richy, Dombs, GLC and Johnson

You're using Bentancur's goal tally in Italy instead of the 5 he scored in half a season in the PL.

Porro scored 3 in 15 last season in the PL, so no reason he can't do 5 in a whole season.

You're ignoring Kulu and Sarr and everyone else in your tally.

And more importantly, you're comparing their output playing in a much more defensive setup.

So yeah, I still think we'll get as many, if not more goals than last season and I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is, if you're interested.

Indeed, his stats are laughably selective.

It's obvious we are going to create much more chances in this team, I know it's SPL but Ange's Celtic team scored 114 goals last season - we've seen the fruits of this style of already after 3 matches so no reason why this team cannot score a lot of goals.

Man Utd make contacts over Spurs' Hojbjerg

Manchester United are understood to have made “initial contacts” over the conditions of a deal for Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Erik ten Hag's side have been offered the chance to speak to the player.
Hojbjerg has entered the final two years of his contract and Tottenham would allow him to leave if a suitable offer came in. The Danish international was close to joining Atletico Madrid earlier this window.
Hojbjerg has made two substitute appearances for Tottenham this season. Ten Hag has worked with Hojbjerg before – he managed him for the Bayern Munich second team in 2013.
Ten Hag also tried to sign him for Ajax before he went to Tottenham in 2020.
Other options include Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat and Bayern Munich’s Ryan Gravenberch. Ten Hag likes both players and has managed them before – Amrabat at Utrecht and Gravenberch at Ajax.
While a deal for Amrabat cannot be ruled out, much of the noise over a move is emanating from Italy. Amrabat is currently training away from the first team squad while he sorts out his future.
There is still a chance there won’t be any major outfield incomings.

I’ll be honest, I’m seeing the obvious PR about Johnson somehow materialising as Ange’s top priority all along and I can’t lie, this stat worries ‘me.

Loving Ange ball as much as anyone else but recruitment should be detached from the manager to a certain degree as well.

The fact that Tanguy and GLC were bought for Poch and the managers after weren’t even going to fit with them was a huge part of the problem.

But I’ve promised myself to get on board with Johnson so I’m putting it to the back of my mind.

Paratici wanted Johnson when he was still playing in the Championship.

The manager wants him

This is what you call backing the manager, it's as simple as that.

We can all moan about this club when it comes to not supporting the managers but when it comes to players we aren't keen on we don't keep the same energy, why?
It’s complicated.

You have to back managers and also be detached from the manager to recruit players good enough and build a squad good enough for the next manager as well.

It’s the reason DOFs get paid 6 figures.

Except we didn't ...
We got somewhere nearer £84/86m didn't we?? (Still not to he sniffed at for a 30 year old, don't get me wrong!)

But won't get the rest of it until he wins the CL or makes 100+ appearances probably!!

£50m for a relatively unproven lower PL level player is ludicrous... But then so are half the numbers being bandied about for some very average players these days!!

I like Brennan, I really do. Loved him in the Champo, think he did solid last year in what was a tough old season for Forest.

It's the price tag I don't agree with. More often than not, when we spend big, it goes to shit. But hey, we got the Big Fella now, new era and all that.

Now just need a CB and 75% of our deadwood shifted. Oh and Brazil's No 9 to stop playing a la Darren Bent (the poor man's version).

Yes that’s a good point.

But did he want him for a squad that was being built for Conte or did he want him as a young talent that he’d identified.

He made a gaff with Richy doing the former.

He’s obviously a great judge of young talent doing the second one with Udogie and Sarr.

But like I said, it’s going to the back of my mind because it’s clear Johnson is happening and he’s going to rip it up in Lilywhite.

Have we ever had a bad Welshman ? (Don’t actually answer this question)

Forest fans seem a bit down he is off which is always a good sign.
Is it just me or do all these other fan forums websites look shit compared to TFC, the layout, the colours, the format.

They did a good job on here.

"Daniel Levy has done a lot of things that have impacted this football club negatively, but not getting a striker in this week, after selling our greatest ever goal scorer, will be the worst. That can't be defended.!"
