You do realise Fatty isn’t going to read this ?
No I get it.Yeah, he had a rough game because everyone had a rough game, because you can't start a team of backups against halfway decent opposition, as we've seen time and again.
Far more lethal on fifa maybe. Not sure how that 3 does against a parked busi also think ange sees son no longer a long term option on the left, we would be far more lethal if this was the front 3
fati-son-johnson
I just don’t feel his head would be 100% here is the issue, especially on a loan. Especially as a substitute. He could do that at Barca.I think you're underrating the chances he's effective and enjoying his football here, is willing to stay, and a skint Barca are more than happy to sell him permanently for as much or less than Johnson.
He might also go thermonuclear and become core to Barca's plans again, and then we're dicked. But that one season is not without value, frustrating as it would be to lose him under those circumstances.
Competition is an optimistic way to phrase it. He is coming into the most well stocked position we have at the club. it would be one thing if he was coming in to start and he’d be getting a bunch of games, but his best position and role is occupied by the club captain in Son. He could possibly even be behind Perisic and Solomon for all we know, as a) Perisic is a much better crosser and has created two goals already, and b) Solomon is a better dribbler and a more lively winger type. That's only an undue risk if Johnson is a nailed-on core asset. I don't buy that, and am very glad to see the emergence of a different option.
Who cares? Competition is good.
Has Richy done anything at RW in his career (not just for us)? If he has I must’ve missed it. Porro seems to be making the RB position his own as well. If anything the 4-4-2 would be to accommodate Ansu as he’s best as a second striker.I think more likely Richarlison deputizes at RW. I also continue to believe Porro could play there. Even more so in the 4-4-2 we played in the second half last night.
Good players create options.
I like Perisic’s crossing a lot. He has created two goals from us this season and more in preseason. That’s not nothing.Did you watch the game last night?
I'm not giving up on Perisic and I like his fit, but yikes.
He’d be better than Son at the moment.I don't really see the attraction of Spurs for young Ansu. He wouldn't be a nailed-on starter here any more than he is at FCB, you'd think he would be better off being back-up there, with his family and mates around him, rather than at a strange club where people speak a different language, eat different food and he doesn't know anybody.
If it's right that Barcelona want us to pay his whole wages, it won't be cheap. He's currently trousering €250,000 a week.
I mean, Richarlison works hard. I actually think Sanchez works hard. Hoijberg. GLC. Skipp. They all put a shift in. But they're not good.
Way off topic but it's kinda easy to make standard (I'm not saying unreasonable) assumptions from the outside looking in. I'm just vocal about it because it's sensitive and still very real in some peoples minds.Yeah, that's a shame. People should get a grip and educate themselves. I understand that mistaken people exist everywhere and are willing to back up their mistakes with more mistakes, but that's just because the world is fucking stupid. They're not my facts. I won't add to it by trying to educate them about someone else's legal and geographical facts. But thanks for reminding me!
EDIT: I've been talking about the people that are arguing about the 'Britishness' of Father Ted, not Ireland. They can think what they like.
What does Fati add to the team that Son doesn't do better? No I get it.
And Perisic has been performing as a super-sub in the league.
But a fit and firing Fati is a player you have no problem relegating Perisic to a more bit part for. The idea that Perisic is a volume chance creating forward in the PL is a total hypothetical.
I've always viewed him as very pacey, in line with this the way Barca play him is to have him isolate the FB or run behind them, so to be clear he's not a dribble-past kind of player or ball carrier but one that holds the width. He’s not a 1-1 specialist or real pace merchant. He’s averaging 1.1 take ons per match since the inuries, and it was 1.6 before. The likes of Grealish or Doku are closer to 4 per match.
He’s a technician. Clean with his ball manipulation and striking. He’ll be the most clinical finisher at the club if he joins. Don’t expect him to be flying past fullbacks, though.
Yes,yes and yes.So what are Fati's main strengths?
Would he dislodge any of our front 3?
Fati and Johnson is overkill no? Front 3 options
Richy Son, Kulu, perisic, Solomon,
Fati & Johnson is 7 players for 3 spots?!
High pace football, substitutions on the hour. No problemRichie, Son, Fati, Johnson, Kulu, Solomon and Perisic for 3 positions with only the league to focus on is overkill.
