God What I wouldn't give for a prime Robbie Keane or Defoe at 9 for us this season.
I'd take a Roman Pavlyuchenko

I understand, but I don't think the fluidity of our football is down to one or two players as much as the whole team suddenly having a level of quality in possession that we've so badly lacked for years. Not often we will rotate 9 players in the league though. Though I guess it's about as likely as all of those players getting injured.
Romero, van de Ven, Maddison and Bissouma are the players we can't get afford to get injured this season. Annoyingly, Romero tends to get a suspension or two. Maddison and Bissouma have shown to be a bit injury ridden in previous seasons and Bissouma will also be heading to the AFCON at some point.
I was laughing my ass off when Newcastle bought Anthony Gordon for 45m, and he turned out decent. I don't really like Johnson, but it's clear that a lot of scouting deparments rate him, and that's what HG players cost. So far we've been unwilling to pay HG prices, that's why our HG players outside of Maddison are a bit shit.If any of our rivals were buying Brennan Johnson for 50m you'd all be pissing your sides and everybody on here, including the people in favour of the signing, know this to be an absolute, undeniable fact.

I think Udogie is just as key, which is surprising considering his short time with us.Not often we will rotate 9 players in the league though. Though I guess it's about as likely as all of those players getting injured.

We've still got about 48 hours to get in a couple of top players, no need to panic just yet.I was willing to be patient, but man this is looking really bleak.
Well, do you want Beyonce concerts or not?! You can't have both! Can we just have one season. One. Where we aren’t a fucking joke club?
Please.
For the love of feet.
The club needs to be panicking. We've still got about 48 hours to get in a couple of top players, no need to panic just yet.

But he runs that left flank. Presses, does the inverted drift inside, attacks and doesn’t give up the ball.
If he’s injured much of our attacking play will be gone.
By the looks of things, not very fucking much!
