Let's all be honest this transfer window is a 1/10. We have once again failed to strengthen the team and in the sale of Harry Kane and lack of replacement we are weaker than ever because we do not have a starting centre forward that can score goals. The fact is I put this year down as a rebuilding one and just wanted to see some hope but I just don't.

Come the 2nd September we are going to still have on our books 4 or 5 players deemed surplus to requirement and it is not because no one wants these players it is because of a constant over pricing of players we want out the door.

Surely it would be better to get Ndombele off the wage bill than asking for his depreciated value. Surely a player like Dier has zero value now. Why are we turning down bids of £7m for Rodon when it would be better for him and us to just getting him off the books.

Not interested in other clubs as I'm not as invested or interested in the context to each unique situation.

Using other clubs as examples is pure whataboutery.

In the context of this club, it's inexcusable imo.
Oh here we go, apparently the factors that impact other clubs are irrelevant for us. Mate you really need to stop pulling out this obviously ridiculous 'whataboutery' card every 5 mins. It's as though you don't understand what it means. Where parallels are being made with other clubs due to factors that must surely impact us as well, it's absolutely not 'whataboutery'. Also where there are plenty of posters who claim that our problems are 'only Spurs' and that other clubs don't have such problems, again it's appropriate, necessary in fact, to compare us with other clubs, in order to prove that the assertion is, quite frankly, utter nonsense (albeit the same nonsense you see on every club's forum).

Also, it's a struggle to have a meaningful conversation with anyone who openly says they are not interested in context unless it is directly about Spurs - surely context is absolutely key to any discussion about anything, including comparisons. :/

Who the fuck bid 7m for Rodon?

Really hope we get Brennan done. I know (and understand why) some people may have their misgivings but I'm very confident he'll give us even more attacking threat.

I do admit to being biased coz I love him playing for Wales.

Last minute . Com club yet again, followed by we tried, couldn't shift deadwood club. Another manager about to get screwed by levy , but why would we expect anything different.
Still time to redeem yourself Danial, now get your finger out.

Re the above comments.

Agree - hope we get Johnson in.

Gallagher - can't see him wanting to come. He won't be guaranteed a start.

1/10 transfer window? Maddison for just £40m, VDV, Vicario. Whilst it's been frustrating, it's at least a 4/10.

Different coach, different recruitment set up but still find ourselves starting the season with an insufficient squad scrambling around for players at the last minute.

Any move for Gallagher would have to be strongly driven by him not sensing game time ahead of Enzo, Caicedo and Lavia.

Maybe he backs himself to take Sarr's place.

Can't see it though.

Seems like typical Levy time-wasting desperation on deadline day.

What happened to Ronnie Edwards (Peterborough) & Jacob Greaves (Hull)? Both were on Spurs' radar and seen as EPL quality CB. Spurs were particularly linked to Edwards.
I guess clubs like Brighton, Palace, Fulham, B'mouth would have picked them up by now if they were that good, though...but then again...
