Maddison and VDV look like quality additions. BJ should fit in, Solomon looks a bit light, but hopefully progresses. Udogie and Porro doing well albeit against lesser opposition so far. Keeper looks good so far. Resurgence of Biss a major plus and Bents to return shortly. It's criminal not to have purchased CH cover as it would have been a huge plus.

what pisses me off about the club with kane money plus his wages and other loans being off the bill could have easily subsidised that and got another centre half in among other HG alleged targets, really wouldn't have put a dent in the financial future off the club if one or 2 registered as part of squad who clearly don't want to be here or the manager don't want. Just gave Ange Postecoglou a problem he don't need.

Look I’m pretty buoyant for this season, I think the first XI looks strong and I’m loving what Ange is doing thus far.
But we’ve obviously got weaker in attacking areas. Natural when losing Kane but the incomings in that area haven’t set the world alight. Add that to the situation regarding our backup CBs and the end of the window just feels a little deflating.
I think it’s totally possible we get CL this season (that would be a great season), if that gets derailed by an injury at CB and too many game for Sanchez I’ll be pretty disappointed in the club….

I’m pretty certain that management will hope that a couple of Phillips, Devine, Scarlett or Parrott, (perhaps Donley, Lankshear or Dorrington?) would have stepped up to save them some money.
