I think a solid 6 is reasonable pushing a 7.
We definitely needed another CB. I would be ok with Sanchez being 4th choice but we needed a third.
The good thing is we have so few games with no Europe or league cup that barring injury or suspension there’s no excuse to not play VDV and Romero in most games.

I’ll probably get disagrees and accusations of tin foil hat etc but Ange absolutely got his Levy virginity taken.
The reason for another CB not coming in was because Dav or Dier needed to go.
There was interest knocked back for both. The obvious reason for that was financial from Levy. He didn’t like the difference between the value he was getting in for Dav and what he’d have to spend on a new CB.
Levy decided it was ok to leave Ange with Davinson instead.

I think Kulu maybe goes 10 and Johnson RW if Maddison gets hurt. They did more in attacking areas tbf.

It’s possible to get behind the team, support Ange and the boys and still see Levy’s behaviour for what it is.
Doesn’t mean you are being negative about the team.
The board charge amongst the highest tickets in world football and have one of the most loyal fanbase. We sold Kane for 100m and the players linked for that 3rd CB spot weren’t 50-70m players. They were 15-30m players.
Levy still rejected offer for Davinson and didn’t bring in what the manager needed.
How do you excuse that?

Lloyd Kelly appears at least reading his profile big, quick and half decent on the ball, ie fits the profile for a high line. I don’t expect the guy to be Maldini just a solid backup.
While I wanted Gallagher who I rate, Kelly was a much more important transfer.
