Contract extension incoming....The last window that we have to worry about getting rid of Dier and Sanchez though...
I'm not blaming him, those are the issues when you try to offload players to smaller clubs.Fair enough, he's not going to win the balon d'Or at Forest is he
Exactly. No point in just buying players for the sake of it anymore.
That being said, I think not getting CB cover was a fuck up and a big risk that hopefully doesn't bite us in the
The last few windows have made me feel like we will continue to build our squad smartly over the new few and with some academy players to come through in the next couple of years I think in the medium to long term things are going to be fun again.
We had offers for Sanchez and we would have had the opportunity to pay Dier off if we'd got someone in as he's clearly not fancied. Perhaps if those mentioned were unobtainable they should have done their research better to find someone that was and maybe not leave it until the last day. They had 3 months. One was far too expensive, another was at Chelsea and the other was a kid wanting guaranteed playing time...and we had players that didn't want to leave to make room for them.
Considering we offered 20m for Lloyd Kelly, I doubt it. Levy just pushed it to the last minute and fucked it up.Despite what Ange said about the elephant in the room, being that we needed another CB, I wonder if he cooled his desire a bit (until Jan) after seeing Ashley Phillips play in training. The kid looks far more ready for the step up than I expected.
I'm pleased we've made the signings, but for me, as usual we've still been left short of priorities. Not bad for a club in transition. Have some patience and faith!
In fairness we need four competitive CB'sConsidering we offered 20m for Lloyd Kelly, I doubt it. Levy just pushed it to the last minute and fucked it up.
According to Fabrizio they got €15m for Carrasco. And although this may be wrong it says here Barca have to pay Atleti €7m for a loan deal.

Good grief, the spoilt, petulant whining, the sense of entitlement, the hatred being poured onto contracted players for not following the wishes of anonymous keyboard warriors is a sight to behold.
Still, I have no doubt that the most vociferous of these will put it behind them now and thoroughly enjoy our efforts to continue our fine start to the season in seven hours time.
Maybe.
YIDS YIDS YIDS

Seeing as you know how everything is going to play out it's probably best you find a new hobbyYeah, we such a spoilt fanbase aren't we.
We'll drop points today, Burnley will be well up for it, cross our fingers drying international break hoping key players don't pick up injuries, should beat Sheff U at home but then it's Woolwich and Liverpool. Yeah, nah, I think both games could get really messy.
The season will trundle on, some good games and performances, some bad, we'll get to Jan and there will be talk of Don Levy when he manages to sign a Bayern or PSG reject on loan at the 11th hour, after shifting out more deadwood on loans with no obligations, we'll play a weakened team in the FA cup and go out before the end of Feb, there will be some talk of making a Top 4 push but alas, lack of depth kills us and we scrape into the EL or ECL on the last day and ENIC lovers and Levy Enthusiasts hails this as a successful season.
But we've moved even further behind our rivals and now there are rumblings that players like Romero and Bissouma want CL football and here we go again.
Nothing will change until Levy and ENIC fuck off.
Can you give me the lottery numbers while you're at it?Yeah, we such a spoilt fanbase aren't we.

But this is something Atleti could have anticipated instead of misleading Højbjerg into believing he'll get his "dream" move (something he most probably was willing to get along with).Nope, not yet anyhow.
On any event, these amounts aren't enough to change the panorama apparently
Bs I think, Bayern or Dortmund wouldn't pay the loan fee (3.5m) for a guy who wouldn't be a guaranteed starter.Didn't he fail 2 medicals with 2, seperate teams or was that BS?
