Thought it would be interesting to see who is scoring the goals so far this season :

Son 3
Maddison 2
Romero 2
Richarlison 1
Sarr 1
Royal 1
Kulusevski 1

11 goals in 4 games.

Goals well shared out so far - I think of yhe new boys Maddison will get about 10 and Johnson about 10.

With Maddison in the team as creator, plus Udogie in his ddebut season as LWB creating more, Solomon off the wing plus Ange who promotes an attacking style we will create more. Stats suggest we are getting maybe 30% more chances than last season ...... and that will lead to more goals spread round the team.

So it looks like our revised structure and team will find a way to score a lot of goals this season, and certainly replacing Kane's 30 goals though the new boys.

Most people ignored Udogie last summer when we signed him as he was immediately loaned out for the season.

He's actually having his debut season now, arriving in this summer window as a returning loanee - and after just a few games he's looking a top player.

So there is a case for treating him as an extra arrival in this window, straight into the first team and is giving us a real boost

A top signing - whether he should be counted last summer or this summer imo we are lucky to have him.

We need to go balls out for Evan Ferguson, probs too late but worth a 60m punt
Unfortunately, I think we’re too late - Ferguson just signed a new 5 year deal this summer - and with Brighton challenging for European places and stuffed to the gills with Todd B‘s money, I doubt they sell for anything less than Caceido money. They’re smart cookies over there and know they have a future superstar on their hands. So unless we’re contending for titles and up our wage structure, he’s staying on the South Coast for 2/3 years then probably headed for Manchester, Paris or Madrid.

Happy with the incomings, I think we had enough new blood in the team for one transfer window. We have 5-6 new starters in the team this summer so pretty happy with that.

Would have been nice to clear the decks a bit more. Hopefully a few clubs will be desperate enough by January to take a punt on a few of them.

if we sell Sanchez after it’s too late to get a replacement…

Ange will need to be very confident in Phillips or Dorrington
Wasn’t Phillips on the bench, over Dier?

If so, Ange can let Sanchez go, IMO, would not be overly upset should we need to blood an 18 year old who is regular at England youth (not ideal, but, sometimes a Colwell level talent emerges from these situations).

Must not be overlooked, we had £50m still to draw down of the £150m injection.

Meaning a (more accurate) Net Spend of £53m in a season we sell our best player.

Don’t get hoodwinked by the headline figures, it is soooooooo Levy to do this (Under invest).

Kulu should be included as we had the choice whether to make that permanent or not. Porro should not be included as we bought him in January and had no option, it was just some accounting thing at Sportings end i think why it was initially deemed a 'loan'. So i make it around £65m net which puts us 10th highest.

Kulu is a grey area.

Porro is absolutely I agree.

To make it simple, just count new players signed for the new manager. Neither of them are new players.

Udogie is more realistic to count than those 2.

And, we had £50m still to draw down, from the £150m injection.

Making it £15m by your calculations, in a season we sell our best player!

You obsess over this nonsense way too much man, net spend this, net spend that...it's meaningless without context.
