He scored more goals than Son last year. And Salah. He's quick, presses well and last season scored a variety of goals.

Not aggressive, not clinical, not great at link-up play.
Would be so underwhelming and for me a signing that would be more likeky than not, to be a failure.
Nothing is certain but being a star striker at a club our size is a huge ask.

People seem to think Postecoglou is some kind of magician. He ain't, and he ain't turning a striker who couldn't even get into a Euro squad of average strikers into some top notch player.
I think desperation is perverting judgement.

There's definitely a non-zero chance they have decided his body can't handle prem football over a full season and they want to move him on.
Solanke and Kulusevski as the main options for #9 would be an upgrade on last year. But only if they finally get that 1v1 specialist for the RW.
He seems to be touting himself to the highest bidder, which is not what Ange is looking for. Plus he is a forward who just doesn't score enough goals.
It's a terrible market for strikers. Watkins and Isak are unattainable and Solanke is the best of the rest in terms of PL-proven.
Anyone from outside the PL is a huge punt and nobody really stands out anyway. Solanke would be a decent signing in this window assuming he'd cost around £50m.
Chiesa is a great talent but his injury record is dreadful, I'm sure lots of clubs are also wary of bringing an Italian player outside of Italy. They hardly ever succeed and most of them get sick of the culture/weather very quickly. Destiny and Vicario are an exception to the rule, I don't get the sense that Chiesa has the same hunger. There are only about 4 Italian players in the entire PL.

No. We are apparently working on things and nobody has leaked who or what. It's probably likely that, as with many summers, it's waiting for the "domino" transfer that spurs global activity.
You'll have noticed that nobody has signed swathes of players yet, outside of arguably Villa. Who themselves have only signed one exciting player that improves them.

Perfect for 4th choice CB then whilst we wait another season for Phillips Vuskovic and Dorrington. As long as he's quicker than Davies we're good.
Id have Solanke over Watkins for this system and tbh he's a more gifted CF overall.
Isak might be the best #9 in the world this season. I rate him higher than Haaland and Kane looks like he's slowing down physically.
