I have nothing against Greaves, he's a legend.
Are we talking about which one has the most Spurs league goals, or league goals in all?
Greaves has 220 Spurs league goals and Kane has 213 so it's much of a muchness tbh. Kane could come back for a year at 33/34 and see that off.
Their records are so similar. However it's extremely hard to compare them, as neither is likely to be has good as the other if they swapped eras.
Greaves won trophies, including World Cup 66 even though he was injured for final.

Wow!!!! This thread has jumped some 40 pages since I last looked last night!

As I've only got 20 minutes or so (a few of us work for a living) can someone just give me a quick summary of the days developments. I'm guessing something big must have happened.

Shadydan Shadydan . Help me out, mate?

We're buying Solanke for 57+3m. Emerson is going to Milan for 15m Euros. Neto is going to Chavs for 60m Euros.

and with him starting on the right wing, top 4 is nothing short of a pipe dream. Our wingers can’t properly control the ball or do complex passing build-up play.

That’s before we even get to the complete lack of technical 1v1 ability. Johnson has his strengths but he only exacerbates the flaws in our larger attack as a whole - we give the ball away a lot, we can’t beat a low block because we haven’t got the technical ability, and we’re incredibly susceptible to counters as a result.
We missed out on top 4 by one win last season with Johnson playing basically every game

There are definitely players we can point fingers at but Johnson isn’t one in my book

A productive direct hard working winger

Chelsea spending £54m on someone with hamstrings made out of fucking string cheese.

Thank fuck we’re not signing Neto. Quality player, undoubtedly. But he will never last a season. Some people are just injury prone, he is clearly one of them.

Solanke to Spurs done

Neto to Spurs not happening, going to Chelsea.

It's all swings and roundabouts.

Our last medal winners include Chimbonda, Hutton, Tainio and Kaboul.
Hardly the elite.
Gio Lo Celso has a Copa America and CONMEBOL with Argentina.

We defended Kane's lack of trophies for a decade. We can't now use it as a stick to beat him with. Football is a team game. Great players have nothing, and some truly average shite has multiple medals.

Barcelona interested in Spurs' Reguilon

Latest from Sky Sports News' Lyall Thomas:
Barcelona have been making inquiries about Tottenham left-back Sergio Reguilon.
They are understood to be exploring the conditions of a potential deal, with just a year left on his Spurs contract.
Spurs are open to selling Reguilon. He has not been part of Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
He spent the first half of last season on loan at Manchester United and then the second half at Brentford.

I hate to say it but it might actually be Chiesa time. I’m looking at wingers and I ain’t seeing it. Plus, Juve have just put him on extra extra discount.
