He may be but is he taking us to the next level? We need quality younger players. What is wrong with tobido on loan with option to buy?
If you have played sport for a club at a high level or any level you will know that good club players are an essential fabric of the club. They teach the youngsters what you cannot learn by yourself and they inspire loyalty and love to the club. You cannot buy these people they are nurtured, grown. Look at King, Ardiles and others. Davies states he wants to coach and manage in the future, as long as he is considered good enough for the first team squad then its a no brainer isn't it?

I would actually start Kulu or Bergvall in the 10 for the opening game? Maddison has been absolutely terrible all pre season, I know they are friendly games but man, he looks cooked. Hasn't played well since injury.

It’s preseason. Every year we overreact one way or the other…

These games are about fitness.

Right now there are fans online already calling for the doom of the whole project. It’s enough to make you a stop watching football.

But saying that I’m not against your idea of starting Kulusevski.

Biss
Maddison Kulusevski

That’s legitimately a MF we can roll outs against teams that sit deep

(if only) :p

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ange isn’t a bit miffed about missing out on Neto. As fans we probably aren’t that fussed about not spunking 60m on Neto but Ange loves him and just learned that no matter how well you do at Spurs, there are always other clubs above you in the food chain.

Chavski don’t deserve to be above us in the food chain either. We really should be making a statement winger signing this summer.

Chiesa's wage demands must be really high if nobody is touching him with such a low transfer fee. I guess if he flops you're stuck with 5 years of high wages and no way to get rid of him.

The article says the ’illogical’ wage demands are 9 million euros a year. I’m guessing this is the net salary he wants because otherwise it would seem to be a fairly normal amount given his CV.

I think it's fair to look at what people have been complaining about and assess whether this improves us based on complaints.

This summer we have heard....

ENIC won't spend 60M+ on someone
We have to buy starters to compete

Now once again the goal posts are being moved and we are adding they have to be world beating game changers??
Tbf I don't think I've seen any posts claiming we WOULDN'T sign a player for 60M or we WOULDN'T sign a player to compete for the first team.
Maybe there's been one or two and I've missed them, but they've been very few and far between if so

This is what so many of us just can't get our head around. Why are ENIC supporters so desperate to defend them they have to make up or exaggerate their claims. Why is it that whenever we sign a player, it's used as some kind of evidence that they mist be doing a good job and shifting their focus on to winning?

It's like justifying the actions of the owners is more stimulating / rewarding than yearning to see us lift a trophy.

And any pro ENIC post like yours is fine in the transfer thread. Whereas a reasonable reply like this will be shouted down as off topic!!!
