The problem with that is that Southgate or Potter are seemingly the only replacements available if that were to happen.

I think his job is safe until at least January, let's see where we are then.
I wouldn't be against Potter in the future. I'm sure it's putting huge amounts of credit to Daniel's future planning, but I wouldn't be surprised that signing these young, hungry and exciting (but raw) players are perhaps thinking ahead, whether Ange is here or not.

Have a style, and players suited to that style then appointing a manager that fits that helps with succcession.

We had fast, free-flowing attacking play under Poch, then went for defensive, counter attacking managers out of desperation. The squad was a mish-mash of both styles and suited to neither in the end. Stick to a philosophy. It's why Brighton are doing so well and do not suffer when losing managers or players.

I dread to think who we’d bring in next. So on that basis I’d stick with Ange for a while despite the flaws. Historically Levy is atrocious in bringing in managers unless he gets lucky, so I just don’t trust him to get it right. He’s only had 12 months, there’s been a huge turnover of players, so he’s still got leeway.

However, he needs to show he can be pragmatic when he needs to be. However, I think we need more clever footballers. We haven’t bought one of those in this summer when we’ve been crying out for a bit of guile. Someone to go down “injured” to suck up some minutes for example. When we concede a goal nobody does that kind of thing to prevent the opposition building up a head of steam. It’s part of that problem.

So are we copying the Brighton model?

Reading between the lines on these comments I wouldn’t be surprised if Bissouma is gone in the next 12 months or less.

Didn't he have some kind of baggage when we signed him? Can't remember what it was but I'm sure there was a reason we had a free run at him. I thought it was an opportunistic punt at the time and we only grabbed him due to the associated damaged goods knock down fee.

I havent looked less forward to a season since the 90s.

No wonder Kane left. Imagine his face if he were still here with the quality of player we are bringing in. We are going backwards fast.
Jesus. Get a f*cking grip.

We got a great keeper who was well-needed after Lloris' end-of-career meltdowns.

We got a great backline with a World Cup winner - and there a very good prospects as back-up.

Our midfield is young and very talented, but still a top 5 midfield in the league. Maybe we still need someone a bit more defensive, but other than that we're looking pretty good.

Our offense may not consist of the typical world-class players that you would associate with a Premiership contender, but it's been carefully selected to fit Ange's tactical approach. That soothes my personal need for world-class players.

We're on the right track. And if Ange just becomes a little more tactically versatile then we're in for a good season.

Family member involved in a sexual assault allegation which he was seemingly a witness to or something. He wasn't ever accused of it not that rival fan bases let up on.

No. It is clear we are future building. As fans we want success now but this time seems to be different.

All of us having suffered the post-Poch era I’m surprised that people on TFC are not more behind the style of play, signings and disposals we have been making.
I am behind it and the attacking style but there’s needs to be a slight compromise / flex to both

We need another experienced (and likely expensive) first teamer and we need to play VDV LB and or play a DM
